Good morning everyone. I don't know how many inches we had but I think at least 10 inches of snow. We will be digging out today (not me of course). The kids can't wait to get outside. I have tried the melatonin for my sleep problems and it does seem to be helping. While I am not sleeping through the whole night I am definitely getting more sleep than I was. I may have to have the kids make me some snowballs today but I have not decided who I will throw them at yet. I would like to throw them at the one sister's dh who keeps telling her she is milking this and now may have seriously hurt herself. She posted a new thread. I guess I have to be polite but I wish we could go there and kick his butt. Everyone have a wonderful day today.

Pia, have a great time tonight!

Wow...so much to catch up on...

Kappel- glad to hear about your 'cats! But, please remember that the ACC rules, and UNC looks darn good! At least you don't have to worry about Duke.

IMG- I hope that you have a good weekend. Snuggle up with some hot chocolate and a good book Relax and put your feet up.

To all of you who recieved snow, I am a little jealous although my daffodils and tulips would not be supportive of it right now. We had a light dusting on Christmas day two years ago. Unfortunately, we were in Florida when it happened. My youngest son does not remember what snow looks or feels like.

It has been a rough couple of days. I am extremely irritable and moody. Yesterday I picked a fight (argument) with my best friend. It was stupid too, we were arguing over which class is harder, Dual-enrollment or AP. She was pretty patronizing though, as I thought the discussion was over, when I went back to her classroom she had her argument on the board because she did not think I understood her position. Of course I do- it's just wrong.

Anyway, I am already on .925 Premarin, don't know if the DR will want to adjust that some. I have been really b*tchy this week. I know I am being that way, and in my head I think "stop, your meaning mean and ugly", but I just keep on being witchy, and sometimes I even like it!

Good marning everyone, I can't believe we are on another weekend. The days are going so fast.
I have had my world atlas out to look where you all live in The States, I am facinated by where people live and the lives they lead. I love to travel and study the places we visit with a passion.

Flat Froggie, When I stayed at the farm we used to pinch the fresh milk from the tanks to put on our cereal, it was so creamy. And we spent the summers in the fields hay making. My memories are of idylic times. Your children have a good chilhood.

Poconowoman, I believe you and your family have felt unwell, I hope this soon passes. We are due some snow here in the UK, we do not cope well with snow...trains stop working...planes are grounded...schools close (with only 1 inch on the ground!)...Patients cancel their hospital appointments, oh the list goes on and on, we just love - but don't deal with snow.

Tia3573, We travelled by car to Italy, we have a Masseratti, and wanted to take it back to its birthplace, we had a fantastic reception when we travelled through Italy, they are passionate about their cars. Every hotel we stayed made us put the car in to their own garages to protect it, and the food...
It was me that mentioned Reims, I am rather fond of Champagne, and we take our SUV to get as much as we can, my favourite is Tattinger. and Piper Heidsieck, and...well the one I'm drinking at the time is my absolute fave!!!!

Catnapper, how did your team do?
Do these 'spanx' not hurt the 'swelly belly'? I find that even wearing tights (hose) irritates mine.

Guineapig38, I do hope you all enjoy your St Paticks day party.

Kappel, I have no idea why your nose turned a funny shade when you drank wine, I have drunk wine since about day 4, and have had no problems I'm delighted to say, it's really about the only normal thing I was able to do for a few weeks. Did you drink enough? (only joking)

PLWC1, Oh! shoes, shoes, shoes, bags , shoes, bags, you get the drift. My DH says we need to extend the house for my shoes, he just doesn't get it, why don't men understand that unlike them we need more than a black pair and a brown pair and a dress pair!

Bagpuss, Please don't lift anything more than your consultant recommends. We get a lot of people through our department that have thought they were doing really well and doing lots, when really they have done far too much, and then hurt themselves. Maybe this is why we have such a generous sickness package.

To anyone I've missed I'm so sorry and hope you forgive me, I hope everyone soon feels more like themselves and has a great weekend.

Don't Lift anything heavy. I lifted 5 liter bags (18) of fluid yesterday at work and had very sharp pain shooting in my abdomen a short time later. The pain went away after I went home and rested. BUT, I considered going to the ER. I was given the go ahead to do what ever I wanted at the two week post op meeting. This was my first week back at work, parttime this week. Anyway I just want to say be carefull with activities even when you are told to "do whatever you want" . I feel fine today. I hope that everyone is doing well today and all your teams won.

Hi everyone
boy, I really missed alot since yesterday morning. I had to rest all day because I had some company last night. We all cooked a little something and it was so good. We. too got a ton of snow. little ds is already outside playing and dh is plowing.
I think we should all meet at NM somewhere in central US and shop all weekend. I am going through major shopping withdrawal.
Kappel, sometimes the sulfites in wine can cause that. Also, I could be the hrt. I have a very unfortunate thing since taking premarin. If I drink more than 1 or 2 glasses of wine(sorry happy now, but I loved your comment) it seems to lessen the effect of the hrt and I get major night sweats, nausea, the whole deal.

We too have animal issues. Bears and deer. The deer are so sweet. We watch them eat every last bit of our garden? The bears are very large and scary. I was trapped in my car once, until it went down the street. I was laughing hysterically, but really on the verge of tears.
Talk to you all later. I have to go on line to Zappos. Sounds great. Where do I go to see the other clothes you guys were talking about?

Good Morning. Wow, you guys were busy on the boards last night while I was away. I love coming back and reading about everything you've been up to. Hope your weekends are filled with fun and some well needed excitement (and rest for those of you not feeling well just yet.) I'm thinking champaigne and brownies sounds great. When does the party start?

Didn't know we had so many who hate snakes. So it's pointless at this time to describe how to capture them safely? Guess I won't speak of the dogs tossing them up and down in the air playing with them etc? ( hahaha)

I have resigned myself to not buying new clothes just yet. Fortunately I don't have any place to go too special so that I must. Holding out for the entire new wardrobe because of reduced size. Hopefully you guys will be able to give me tips and hints on what to get when the time comes. May 17th is my dd wedding so I will be looking for the daring mother of the bride dress and accessories. (You seem so much better at it than myself.) You know, sexy but still respectable.

Oh! Gotta run as picking up dd at dorms to celebrate her birthday. I will chat some later.

I was just reading the premarin bottle and it said this medicine may cause dizziness. I just had it refilled and it added this warning. You should check with dr.
Lots of luck, feel better

Happy Now,
Thanks for the thoughts. Everyone is feeling better. Anitbiotics are wonderful. Even without anitbiotics it does not stop my kids. DH is sleeping since because of the snow it took him 3 1/2 hours to get home last night from New York City which actually was not bad considering we had so much snow and he came home in the worse of it. He said if he did not have his 4 wheel drive he would not have made it home from the bus stop and that at least 2 dozen cars were abandoned on the side of the road because they had all skidded and some landed in ditches.

I vaguely remember someone saying they went to see the King Tut exhibit. My younger one in 6th grade just went on a field trip last week to see the exhibit and he said it was great.

Babcocks, The snake and animal farm up here had told us to use a shovel or whatever and drop them into the garbage can and put the lid on to transport them. It seemed a safe way to do it. I hated having the snakes in the car when we transported them to a wooded secluded area. So far I have been lucky and have not come across any snakes when I am out on my own. Everyone will be hearing me scream over in England if I do. (only kidding of course). If you know of a better way let me know for future reference because I don't think that will be last time we see some even though I have been up here 17 years and have not had that before.

Img420 and everyone else, Thank you so much for the kind words. I cannot express in words how valuable having found this site and having all of you for support has meant to me even before my surgery. I was originally so terrified to have this surgery that I truly almost cancelled and thanks to my dh, drs and this site I did not. It was amazing to me that after posting I might cancel and how scared I was and then I did not post for 24 hours and came back on to see sisters posting about has anyone heard from poconowoman and is she ok and what did she decide about the surgery literally had me in tears. The support has been tremendous and if I lived close by to all of you I would do anything and be there anytime for any one of you.

My dh has also been a great support and I feel so lucky to have him. He has taken on so much and not one complaint. He just wants to see me better.

Sorry to be so mushy. I hope nobody minds. Hugs to everyone.
