I guess we are still supposed to post our progress over here so I just copied this from my update on the new board...
How is everyone doing today? I go back to the office on Monday. While I have been working from home I am nervous about getting everyone ready and out the door in the morning. I am hoping for a slllloooooowwwwwwww relaxing weekend.

As long as I've been home the time has seemed to fly by. I hope I can get the insomnia under control. I see my GP Friday to get my thyroid checked.

How is everyone else coming along??????

Bookah212, I go back to work at the castle on Monday, will see Viv, want me to tell her hello??
My time at home has also flown by, I thought I would get so much done here, tidying up, organizing, etc. HA! Oh well, I only did what I was feeling up to and probably had unrealistic expectations.
My insomnia is still here as well, I will only take a sleeper the nights before I work though (I work 3 12 hour shifts a week). That way I won't become dependent and they will be more effective.
You know, I have become kind of fond of being a woman of leisure....it will take a while I'm sure to get back into the swing of things - the routine of work, etc.
I will miss the daily bubble bath at 10am after watching the tube and eating bon bons. Wink wink. Why is it that when a woman is recovering from a surgery, people assume we are milking it???? I've only just gotten that feeling from a few people in the last week, is it because I am doing better and I am not complaining about every ache and pain that they assume I am milking it?? Anyone else been getting this as well?

Princess - I hope the weather in Ohio is as nice as it is here in MI. It has been in the upper 50's - low 60's and I am loving it! It actually feels like spring.

Hey! I came over to see how to set UP a club and I see we already HAVE one! yay!!! I'm wrapping up my first full week back at work in the office full time. Have to admit though, I cut out 15minutes early yesterday because my bruises from my fall last weekend had started to swell and hurt so horribly.... I then spent three hours lying still waiting for the pain and throbbing to subside. It's beautiful out here today, almost 60 degrees. And tonight I"m heading into my big singing weekend. Everyone in the group is being VERY understanding and constantly reminding me not to push things. I find I NEED to hear that cause otherwise I feel guilty or lazy or both. If it weren't for my back end being so painful I do think I would have been up and about alot more this week. I hit six weeks post op yesterday and I"m happy to say the time has moved along pretty nicely for me as well. Friends warned me I'd have cabin fever but I think I only had one or two days when I was feeling particularly trapped.

I guess I kind of mixed the chatter with the recovery. But I"m ending my first full week back at work in the office full time and I truly think I would have done fine if I hadn't fallen last week. Cause that has caused me more pain than anything! That being said, I think part of the reason I fell so hard was because of how careful I"ve been about getting around, and how weak my core strength/muscles have become... so to all, be CAREFUL when moving around. If you're like me you may find that your balance and your flexibility aren't what they used to be!

Hi I think that I've put on a stone in weight. Thanks Singingmad for the advice about driving. I'll try the pillow tonight driving to Church choir to ease pain and discomfort.
