Bookah and Pocono~we would just adopt the baby and ss and girlie would have to stay away. SS is almost 20, but he acts like he's 12. My DH's ex-wife and son want us to take the baby because we would be the best family for it. This girl hasn't even been to the dr and she says shes due in July! I do know she is pregnant though. I met her after the new year and she was so happy to be in her second tri-mester so she could dye her hair!! What am I thinking???? I don't know what we'll do, but things are going to get interesting around here! Wish me luck! Elizabeth

Hi I wasn't pm ed about the site but found it by following everyone else. Still not sure when it's chat and when it is progress. I'll just have to hop between the two. Dont want to miss anything. Just sang at a wedding in the Church choir. It was freezing and raining. The pics were in doors and the congrgation clapped because we sang a spiritual for them. They were very noisy. Going to have some tea and peel some veg for tomorrow. Jane

Babs - I had a tummy tuck with my hyst but I would think healing from just a tummy tuck would be way easier. They dont cut your muscles or remove any organs. I'm so glad I had mine done. GL

Pocono - I used temp black dye for a play and it did rub off on my clothes but it washed out and didn't do anything to my skin. I would think that would be the way to go.

ALteach - I hope you get your voice back and start feeling better soon. It's like working all week and then getting sick on the weekend...only worse.

rodswife - sounds like a very difficult situation. Are you sure the girl is leaning towards adopting to you? She is the key decision maker in this. Sounds like she acts 12 as well. I wish you the best of luck.

Rodswife - I honestly don't know what to say but do wish you all the luck in the world! The girl definitely sounds like an airhead. Again, I will say we are here for you to talk to but I know this is such a personal decision for all of you I honestly don't want to say too much except I know you will make the right decision whatever that is. My neighbor's son had a friend who was killed in a car accident and his girlfriend was pregnant (at 17 yrs old). She decided to give the baby up for adoption and from what I was told she is sent pictures of the baby. I guess it was kind of an open adoption. At first the boy's parents wanted the baby but they were already retired and realized they did not have the energy to take care of a baby. Saying things are going to get interesting is the least of it!

Bookah. Thanks. I will be buying the temporary red dye tomorrow to try it and hope for the best. This way the drama club teacher can see how it is before Friday/Saturday's show.

Bagpuss - I also am just going back and forth between the two sites. I think most of us are still doing that.

The girl wants us to have the baby also. Her "mom" doesn't want another baby. She already has 6 and she's 32. What a great environment for a child. We will probaby try to talk them into a private adoption with a cousin of mine who cannot have kids because of endo, but my dh says that this is his grandchild. We don't really want to start over since our daughter is 3 1/2, but we will if we have too! Elizabeth

Hi Bagpuss here. I'm watching Sister Act and feeling a bit weepy today. I haven't managed to have a nap today so I am feeling quite tired. I've had some discomfort so I've had some paracetamol. I am going out tonight to hear my other choir perform so I hope that I will feel comfortable sitting on the hard seats in the Cathedral. In England we dont usually have a follow up consultation after a year unless there is a reason to do so ie something wrong although I might set this up. I know that I can see my GP at anytime. Just know I might like somebody to tell me all is well need reasurrance.

Nanette (LOVE that name by the way!!)- word of warning about blondes and hair dyes!! Blonde hair is more porous and will suck up the "temp" haircolor as a more permanent color. Do any of you remember Pizzazz sheer color wash? supposed to wash out in 3 shampoos? HA!! My mom wouldn't let me color my hair, so I did it behind her back with a friend at her house, thinking I would just wash my hair a few times before going home. Didn't work. I had to go home with magenta hair- and spent the evening washing and rewashing my hair. finally faded into a cotton candy pink, which of course I had to go to school with. Cheered in pink hair that weekend! Wound up at the hair salon having to get my hair completely stripped/bleached and then wait (with WHITE hair) a week or two before I could add blonde again. I was 15- had beautiful natural blonde hair and ruined it!
Anyway- I'd ask your hair stylist what to use before you do anything to his hair unless he doesn't mind it possibly being there longer than a few days ;o)
