IMG, I'm so glad you're back. Here's a for you. And, thanks for asking how I'm doing. I had to laugh when you said you said you saved a few of your sanitary supplies because I did, too. As nasty as Aunt Flo was to me, I'm still sentimental about her.

Work is going okay. I was amazed that I was able to work a busy weekend and still clean house when I got home from work on Sunday. It's funny though, that when I was off on Monday and went to the mall, I wasn't in there more than a half hour when I started having pains on the right side. Something about the mall and the grocery store aggravates my tummy...maybe the bare concrete floor? Maybe I overdid it on the weekend and it caught up to me on Monday? I almost forgot, I also went to Walmart Sunday for groceries. While there, I bought two exercise dvd's and an excercise mat. I was hoping to start the exercises on Monday but ended up taking Ibuprofen for the pain so didn't think it was a good idea. Maybe tomorrow. I'm just desperate to get this weight off.

Thanks everyone for your continued support. It's so nice to have friends who truly understand.

Hi everyone,
I went to my doctor appointment today. 7 weeks post op and was released to go back to work next week. I am starting the first week at 8 hour shifts and no lifting more than 20 lbs. Hopefully that will help me ease into my 12 hour shifts. I like my job but am a little scared of injuring myself by doing too much. Right now though I almost feel like my old self. I have to go back to my gyn/oncologist every 3 months for 2 years. Luckily I don't need chemo or radiation. So I guess I can handle the every 3 month visits. Hope everyone is doing well. I don't always post but enjoy reading all the posts and it has helped my recovery so much! Thanks everyone.

Hi, everyone. Sorry I haven't posted in a few days. I have been reading the threads to see how everyone is doing...guess I just didn't feel very talkative.

Pocono, any friend of yours is a friend of ours. I hope your friend will join us.

Summersday, good luck with the housing search. I'm so sorry you have to go through that right now.

AngieDawn, good luck with your appt. I hope you will talk to the doc about your kidney pains. It's probably not a good idea to let that go on.

Hugs to all.
Laura

Good morning everyone! I will be home most of the day getting things done around the house with my limits of no lifting and no bending. I did for the 1st time yesterday do a bundle of laundry myself. I kind of did a half bend and that felt ok.

Catnapper - No need to apologize but glad to see you posting. Hope everything is ok. I think we just worry when we don't hear from anyone who usually posts.

To anyone who may celebrate it, Happy Passover!

Everyone have a great day or night!!

Congrats on the all clear Cindy. That's awesome. I think you'll be fine with the 20 pounds as long as you don't carry it around too much. I was okay lifting a 2 year old... but actually walking around with her for long was a bit tough.

Hi,hope all is well.I had my brain MRI yesterday. I feel yucky. This is getting old. I just want to feel better. It gives me hope when I hear some of you are doing so well.I am trying to plan a small dinner at our house for Easter, so that should keep me busy. I guess I'll chat later.

Best of luck with the MRI results. I had one on my spine last Fall for a lump... its a lypoma (I think that's how you spell it) which is just gonna stay there for now unless it causes problems, but the MRI also indicated significant arthritis in my spine. Its always something, isn't it??? A small dinner sounds nice. My DP and I are hoping my mom is flying off to Buffalo for the holiday to stay with my sister so we'll have the house to ourselves for a few days. It'll be a nice chance to relax after all that's been going on. So ours will be a VERY small dinner. I'm going to be making rack of lamb, maybe some asparagus and roasted potatos.... and just enjoy the hopefully sunny and quiet day! Can't wait!!!! But now we hear we're headed for snow tomorrow and that's my mom's flying out date... so here's hoping we get slush instead of snow so her flight doesn't get cancelled!

Cindy - good luck back at work

guinea pig - I hope you get your results soon and are able to easily treat it. I'm sorry you aren't feeling well but wish you a Happy Easter.

Singing Mad - We already have snow and 50mph winds. I am a travel agent and haven't seen any cancellations yet so I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

I am still a little sore, I really hope I didn't pop any stitches. Now that I did all that crap I keep reading everyone talking about the 20 pound restriction. I did way more than that. I felt soooo good for two weeks and now this.

I have been praying Joyteam. And I do believe in the power of prayer but I don't look at mine or others misfortunes as result of a lack of prayer. I just want to make sure for everyone's sake that you weren't implying that. I take my suffering and offer it up to the Lord as mine can't compare to what my Lord did for me. I am so happy to hear you are feeling good and we would love it if you could chat more.

Take care everyone!

Hey bookah. At this point I don't think you could pop stitches. When I fell on the stairs about three weeks ago I thought the same thing but was told (and that was around week 5 for me) that I could psssibly tear or stretch some tissue internally, but the stitches themselves are just "waiting to dissolve". Heavy lifting could cause your muscles to "unheal" but unless there's some abnormal swelling like a hernia I don't think yo'ud be doing anything more than just aggravating weakened muscles. My doc told me to take it easy on the lifting, but my muscles just plain refuse to work if I try to do more than I should. If you lifted, and then later felt sore, I'd say its just the muscles acting like they would after a really tough workout... OUCH! OUCH! SORE SORE. SWELL SWELL.... that's my opinion though and I'm not a doc so if you're worried, give the doc a call!

Cindy - Good luck with going back to work.

Guineapig - Good luck with your test results. I hope it is nothing serious and that it is something easily treatable.

Bookah - I agree with Singingmad. I don't think you could tear stitches at this point but maybe you should call the dr. Hopefully it is just that your muscles are sore.

Singingmad - Dinner sounds great. What time should I be there? I think this year we are just going to go out for Easter Sunday dinner. We have never done that before so it will be something different. The kids won't mind since they love going out to dinner.
