Hi Bookah, I don't have anything planned this weekend. We just got the new liner put into the pool and we are supposed to get weather in the high 80's. I think we'll stay right here (at 3.00 an gal who can go anywhere) and barbeque with the kids and grandkids. Also after the crazy year I had last year I'd just like to slow it down a little and enjoy my home. I am glad that your pain has subsided that is always good to hear. I still think my pain problem is my bowels. I just started using ground up flax seed, I hope that helps some.

Hi everyone!!

DH has to work this weekend so we will stay home. That is ok with me. Saves money as gas is at $3.42 a gallon here.

I planted the garden yesterday. I am hoping the deer will stay in the corn field next to me and out of my garden.

Our old landlord finally gave us our security deposit back in full. That really helped out since I am not working and with the move last month we had to spend more than we would have normally. Things will be back on track now though, our monthly bills are lower now that we moved, we will be saving over $100. a month. Plus, DH is 5 miles closer to work so that will save on gas

Hope everyone has a safe holiday weekend!!

June

Hi everyone,

Just checking in to say hi. I have gone for my second shot in my back and of course, it is not working yet. We will I think be staying home this weekend. The traffic will be terrible up here in the Poconos but we use the back roads whenever we can on this weekend. We may go to NY but not sure yet. Hope everyone has a great weekend and are feeling good.

Princess48 - So glad to hear your mom is getting better and enjoy your camping trip. I have not been camping in years.

Hello all. I just want to say that my wedding solo went very well. It exceeded all my expectations. We may even have some further bookings from it. The wedding itself was lovely. I was quietly getting tipsy on the champagne. Well I had done my bit. Topday the weather has changed it is RAIN RAIN RAIN! Chelsea flower show was fab too. However I really felt the strain of being post hyst. I really did not have the stamina of previous years and could have taken the next day off of work to recover. I still feeling tired and my scar is pulling tonight. However I'm very pleased with how my recovery is going. I feel very well apart from this intense tiredness that threatens to overwhelm me sometimes. The operation has been a great success. Hugs and love to all.

Hey everyone! I'm back from my weeklong trip to FL. It was lots of fun... SO nice to drive around in a convertible in all that sunshine! We were worried a bit about the fires and smoke we'd heard about but nothing too bad in the Tampa area. We even drove over to Orlando one day to see Universal. Lots of family time, played mini golf, went to the beach, and I KNOW I put on a few pounds. My incision got pretty tender by the end of the week with all the walking and running around so this weekend we've been doing just basic yardwork and some laundry... I start my new job tomorrow so tonight I'm hemming pants. And starting a new diet! I let myself cheat ALL last week and I can tell but now my goal is to drop the last 8 pounds by September and get myself back on track as far as my personal fitness goes.... Here's hoping!

Bagpuss, congrats on the wedding! Always nice when they go well. I just got emailed some music for a wedding I"m singing at in July. I don't know the couple but they contacted my chorus requesting a quartet so I agreed to learn the piece. Its modern and I"m vaguely familiar with it so here goes!

Bagpuss, way to go on the solo. You deserved a bit of the bubbly afterward. I used to do quite a bit of organ, piano and vocal for weddings and was almost always nervous. What piece did you sing?

Madeline, good luck with your new job tomorrow. It's nice that you got a little R & R before you start.

Also, I agree with you about the operation, Bagpuss. I have occasional twinges but am so glad not to have the pain I had before. When I was talking to one of my customers a couple of days ago, I remembered that the last time I waited on her I was miserable. She had wanted me to help her pick out a paint color for her living room and I was doubled over in pain just wishing she'd leave. Thank goodness those days are over.

Hi everyone.

Congratulations Bagpus. So glad your singing went so well. Sounds like you are feeling really good. I think with the weather changing here in the states I am feeling more pain just in my incision. I think this is normal.

Singingmad - Glad to hear you enjoyed your vacation so much. Good luck with the new job. Remember to let me know if you are planning on going to NYC.

Princess48 - Sorry you have to go through a move. It is a lot of work. See you on the games.

To anyone stopping by to say hi I hope everyone is doing great! Everyone have a great week! Wish me luck I am going for my third shot in the back on Monday but don't feel like they are really working but I keep hoping.

Hi pocono - I'll definitely let you know when we plan our next trip to NYC. Probably not til the weather gets a bit colder. We seem to be inundated with house plans at this point. Just had our yard surveyed and are getting quotes for a fence... and THEN its time to put on the addition to expand the kitchen! YAY! My new job has been going great! Everyone is so friendly and I"m even thrilled there's hot water in the ladies room! Guess its the little things when you've been working in a space that's far below standard! LOL

Good luck with that third shot pocono. I ran into someone last week who was going through the same thing and they're having some luck with it! My back has really started bothering me since the surgery. I'm sure its the arthritis in my spine but I guess I wasn't expecting to have an increase in pain.... could it be the change in hormone levels? I'm going to speak to my regular doc about it when I see her next... assuming it does'nt continue to get worse. Could be the humidity and change in temperature as well so we'll see.
