Do you know who's without a uterus and as dumb a rock?? Me!! I got up this morning and proceeded to do too much for the whole day and I am paying!!! My belly hurts!!!

On the upside: UK won!!! (not United Kingdom, but University of Kentucky!)

IMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You gotta be kidding me? First of all don't tell your friend to read this because then she'll see that I said she can kiss my behiney!!!!!! Even if she thought you were being a weenie as a friend she should pretend she believes your suffering--that's what friends are for. You know, like if you are ranting about your husband your friend doesn't try get you to see that husband is right and you are wrong, she just responds with, "That's a man for you."

I think the ladies in the Southeast should meet at a cabin in Gatlinburg with a big o hottub!!! My husband is on a Wilcat Chat board (Not the animal, University of Kentucky again) and the guys he talks to occasionally meet at UK games. I wish we could all meet along with the ladies in England. If I win the Lottery I pay for everybody's tickets for a chalet in Switzerland--never been there, but what the hay.

poconowoman
have a peaceful sleep tonight and feel better. Where ever you decide is a good location, I'll be there. You have all been, my life, for the past 4 weeks. I think to myself I must have made a huge mistake having the tah, and maybe I could have lived with my pain, because this recovery has been far worse than anything I ever had to deal with, but to have all of you has made the journey worthwhile.
Thank you to everyone

PLWC1 - if you have access to an "Ask a Nurse" line - call it and ask them your questions - they should be able to translate the medicalese into something more understandable. I took a medical terminology course last year and I still had to ask my DH for some interpretation on mine - he is a RN.

I received my surgical report and pathology report from my doctor. Ask your doctor, they should have it in your file.

My goodness, this group is extremely chatty today. I was gone all day and had about 6 pages to read when I finally checked in. You guys crack me up!

Well, call me an idiot, but I went into work today. I'm not officially back to work, just needed to go to a customers' house to make sure his furniture delivery went okay. He's been a really good customer and I didn't want to leave him high and dry since I knew he would need help with placement of his furniture. The good news is that he ordered a couple more items, the bad news is that I'm pooped. I'm surprised that I am not in pain from all the running around but, oh my, the fatigue. When I got home, I watched the Illini/Penn State game in a horizontal position. I have another client I could do an in-home consult for this weekend but think I'll put it off until next week. This weekend is reserved for watching the Big Ten Tournament with my feet up and a few walks outside now that it's finally warming up(got to get my "retail feet" back).

flat froggie, now I don't feel so bad! I've been having those moments on and off for the last week. I thought it was just age related.

Hey everyone:

I am 4 weeks post-op today. I do have alot less pain now. Unfortunately, I caught the flu this week and I have a wicked cough. I felt just horrible the first few days... feverish and all. I called the doctors office because before I got the cough I thought I had an infection. But no... it isn't an infection. Just a bad flu.

Well, coughing really hurts my abdomen I tell ya... I sure hope it doesn't tear any inside stitches.

To top it off, my hubby also came down with the flu. And he is demanding. He wants me to cook for him, wait on him... he doesn't understand that I am not supposed to lift anything. Or that I too feel ill. Why can men be such idiots sometimes??

So, what to do? Next week I am supposed to drive about an hours drive so that I can visit my oncologist. I have to have my annual mammogram and then see my oncologist. (I am a 3 year breast cancer survivor). It will take all day. Should I cancel it? I have no one to drive me and what with having the flu this week and all. Any advice?

Wallan
Don't you know that when men are ill it's 100 times worse
I drove today--alot and I feel terrible but that was driving 10 minutes getting out going into Barnes and Noble, then driving 15 minutes getting out and going into school and then driving another 20 minutes to my mothers. I'm all swollen and sore now. And I don't have the flu.
You just need to see how you feel next week. I'm amazed how much better I feel each day if I haven't overdone it. Maybe this week you can tell hubby you have to rest so you will be in good shape to drive your car next week.
Maybe check on the post op people ahead of us and see what they think since they've probably been out there driving that amount of time.

Laniek - I will never ever forget that (VP)and unfortunately either will most of the sisters!! My girlfriend never called back! She'll call me tomorrow like nothing happened, I think in some ways she is envious because this is something shes not in on with me, she can't relate. It will pass, we have been best friends for 33 years.

I too have learned so much here and I have been closer to all of you in this short time then anyone else, we all relate and understand eachother, our sisters from the UK are just as important to us, I hope you all realize that When we get our heads on straight we will have to figure out a hysterversary plan, we have 11 months to figure it out!!!

WALLAN: Can anyone else take you to the Dr next wk? If not wait a couple days, see how you feel, and decide on Monday....I really would hate to see you miss your App't it is very important. As for hubby, print out the checkpoints from here and read them to him - THIS WAY HE'LL HAVE TO LISTEN. Good Luck

and.....Congrats on the Cancer free May God bless you!!!
