How about snow cream? You'll have to send me some snow, though. We don't get a lot of it here. Just every so many years a big blizzard hits and we miss school--Jan 1978 missed the whole month!

I graduated from EMU there in YPSI. It is a small world! Ann Arbor is a great Artsy Fartsy city. I do love to visit. Lots of culture. Sautini's sub shop on Liberty is world class yummy.

Thanks for the wonderful visual on the squished frogs. Gave the DH a chuckle when I read it to him.

Froggie is my childhood nickname. I loved to swim and bathe. My mom used to jokingly check me for webbed feet and hands. It also spilled over to my DH who I met at 16. He is, and has been known for quite some time as, BULLFROG. Ha.

Flat refers to the contour of my new abdomen. I really struggled with adding the tummy tuck to the hyst procedure. And had you asked last week I would have told you I was sorry I did it. But I have changed my mind, yet again, and am so very glad I took the opportunity to have it done. We could have never afforded it w/o the hyst.

thus: flatfroggie!

So try to picture a long legged, fancy green, sleek, shapely froggie, a long way away from a Kentucky highway. Maybe on a nice lillypad? Scratch that, no more pads here. Maybe by a luscious tropical waterfall? Oh I like that!

Actually when I was born my Mom named me Christine. Only those very close to me know about Froggie, the hyst, and the tummy tuck, So keep it quiet girls!

I won't mention the UK game today.

Well, guess what I own. An Eastern Michigan sweatshirt. Dark Green with White letters. It's ragged and about 20 years old. I bought it that day we visited the school. The first time I pulled it out my husband was like, "Why the heck do you have that?" He only wears UK

I feel deprived... what is snow cream?
Ann Arbor sounds lovely. Never been, but I order food from a deli there sometimes. Called Zingermans and they have the best stuff there!!! If any of you have heard of Nutella and like it, they have this stuff made with guanduji (I think I spelled it correclty, but not sure) chocolate and it makes nutella seem like hersheys after tasting godiva. They call it adult peanut butter. SOO GOOD. Yum. Great- now I want chocolate AND a bath!!! haha

I think my Dr and nurse are out of the loop. Nurse OK'd me for baths weeks ago, i took one (luxurious!!) but the only reason I did was because I was on antibiotics and figured if I got an infection from it, it would be gone before it started- did that make any sense? But I had a TVH, so no abdominal incision.
We are going to remodel our bathroom, just waiting a little while longer, until I am completely healed. We recently finished a major remodel, while living here, and it was horrible!!
We just finished building a spec house and ladies- I am glad I am not driving yet, or I would be over there right now having a nice long soak in the bath there. I designed it and tooting my own horn it is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! The shower is my favorite. I picked out this gorgeous standing stacked river rock, and the entire shower is tiled with that, trimmed in bluestone. The tub is a vintage looking long and deep clawfoot with jets. YUM. Lots of detailed moldings and really simple and elegant wood cabinetry with custom mirrors.... oh I love it love it love it!!
however, we have to sell it. So if any of you are interested- please!! haha. as long as you let me come take a bath whenever I want!!!

DH is sound asleep on the couch, all scrunched up because I was hogging it. He fell asleep with Bella (our daughter) and came down to fll asleep in seconds on the couch. The mean side of me almost wants to leave him there as he has been kind of an insensitive jerk recently.. but i won't. But if I try to wake him a few times and he doesn't budge.... well, what can I do? <evil grin here>
jsut kidding- I'll wake him.
When I was pregnant with my first child, my Ex was determined to name him shane FOGHORN. i am serious- after foghorn leghorn on some cartoon. I started calling him foggy, which eventually lead to froggy and that nickname stuck for several years. and no, his middle name is not foghorn. that was the one thing I refused to give in on!!
Boy- can you tell i haven't been out much? I'm ramlbing on and on. sorry! Hope everyone has a great night!!!

crickeycroc, so sorry you are going through all this. I had my surgery same day and while my incision started bleeding it only lasted a couple of days. I hope you feel better soon.

So tonight I fell asleep at about 10:30 pm and now I am up again at 1:30 a.m. Just one night I would like to sleep 5 or 6 hours.

Good morning everyone. I am hoping this finds most of you still sleeping at 6:26 a.m. eastern standard time. I decided to take my shower early today with everyone else in the house still sleeping. Everyone beware of bathtubs. I have a non-skid mat down which is suppose to keep you from falling and mine almost did the opposite this morning. It must have gotten loose and when I stepped in I slipped. However, the GREAT NEWS is I did not fall I was actually able to catch myself and while I may have hurt my back did not feel any pulling in the abdomenal area so I think I did not do any damage. I really feel like an idiot for doing this.

Hope everyone has a great day and that for those of us who are not feeling so great that we are all feeling a little better today. It is suppose to warm up this weekend so I am hoping to enjoy some fresh air.

I spoke to a friend of my dh's last night whose wife had a hysterectomy a little more than a year ago. We had never met but when she heard I was going in for mine called to talk and we have become friends. She is such a sweetheart but feels her recovery went really easy. It was funny to talk to her dh last night because he said she does not quite remember the way he does. He gave me a laugh when he said at 4 weeks post op she was still in pain because she said she wasn't. She is such an advocate for hysterectomies that she is a one person cheering section. Anyway, everyone have a great day!!!! and thank you thank you thank you for all being here.

Hang in there pocono we are getting ever closer to having this over and be a distant memory. (Although I would have preferred it to go a little faster myself.)

Dh has been on vacation all week so we have had a little adventure everyday. We did opt to stay home this weekend and not go to TN or SC. Just found out our daughter, who is on spring break in AL, is soon to be engaged. Her beau came and spoke with her father, while she was in AL, to ask if he could marry the girl. I think they must have been planning this for awhile as they want the wedding THIS October! October, as in 7 months from now. She graduates from BU in May, wedding in October! :wowee:
I'm freaking out just a little bit.

Went out of state to a mall to walk yesterday. Walked around for about 4 hours. Feel pretty good today. Stomach is a little sore but not bad at all. Told dh that I just have to double that walking time in the next 2 weeks and I should be ready to go back to work so long as doc gives the green light. (Now watch, after I have said all of this I'll take a 3 hour nap this afternoon.) Oh well here's hoping for upward and onward!
