Did it stop the phone from ringing at 11:30 p.m. and her voice calling out 'who is it?' Heck no. I bet she will be a wreck this a.m. So much DRAMA. DRAMA w/all the souls in her life. And she has a significant invisible learning disability that the schools will not accommodate bec. her high verbal i.q. outstrips the 33 point lower performance i.q. I pray they don't change that schedule on her.

Little granddaughter is home. Big D is mad at me as usual, but we had a good four and a half days together while Big D worked her butt off for ten lousy bucks per hour before deductions. A single mom can't make it on that. Nope. It's a hard life.

And me............back to school for week two of classes. I hope I remember it's Tuesday so I don't go to all the wrong rooms. I was remembering here at home where I go and thinking 'Monday'....yeah, riiiiiiggggghhhhht.

Last nite my DM called and she is trying to write her memories and she remembers nothing from before she married the second time (when I was 12).......sad, sad, sad. I pray I don't get like that bec. if I do, then I'd better figure out how to retire early so I can enjoy life before it's all 'gone' mentally. It scares me. I remember when she had HER hysterectomy. Her hormones were so bad, 1) I called her doctor to ask what the heck he had done to her and 2) she chased me down the street screaming at me one memorable time.
Yikes.

HAVE A GREAT TUESDAY, sisters. Hope your healing is progressing. I'm constipated as all get out the second day in a row but I will bet ya it's 1) state fair foot long hot dogs and 2) too much kettle corn. Today it's back to normal eating. I'll see if the knots are worse, an indication of intestinal issues rather than 'the surgery' itself.

E- Your daughter sounds like mine. With the IQ and all. We are implimenting an IEP plan this year for the first time as a senior in HS. It has been bvery hard for her esp becuse her brother , My DS is very smart.

Good luck to you today! I am working from home the majority of the day and then at the hospital for 3 hours tonight teaching a class.

DD is a smartie, too........but the performance IQ brings things down. Heck, she won an academic excellence award in 9th grade! Only went to about 30 kids or something like that out of a class of 360 or so. But she still struggles a lot. She doesn't qualify for IEP anymore as her LD isn't 'officially on the MN list yet' and I don't have energy to get it on the list. I pray she makes it thru h.s. My other DD didn't and went the GED/two year degree route and is struggling daily.

Off I go to teach. It's the room this a.m. w/the sticky door that I just could NOT open last Tuesday. I had to call security to get it open. Hope that doesn't happen today. I will enlist the strongest of my students to beat the door down.

Have a good day sisters.....................................E

I've been gone to Austin for my older DD soccer trnmt and we took home first place...

I've missed ya'll.

I start work tomorrow.

I'am feeling pretty good. My bladder still hurts but I keep reminding myself that it could take up to 6 mos. I was able to keep up this weekend but I was exhausted I was able to sleep well each night. So maybe coming home from work will help me sleep well.

I have a few things to fine tune with my recovery..but I feel for me I made the best decision. I can't believe how much pain I was in before!! It is so nice to have days that are pain free. I have the soarness from surgery but nothing that compares to the pain I was feeling prior. I have been very blessed so far (cross my fingers) that my vivelle-dot is working well for me at this time.

I wish you all well in your recovery! I thank each of you for your encouraging, funny, and sometimes sad words. I'am so glad that I have had you guys to turn to each day!!

God bless all of you...See you in the chat room.

The Recovery threads remain open for 8 weeks. This one is dated July 9 - 16, which means it will close 8 weeks after July 16.

Please don't limit yourself to posting only on the threads with your surgery date. There are women in the PreOp and PostOp forums who could benefit from your experience. Please consider visiting those forums and offering support. It's what this site is all about.

Thanks, Catherine. I usually visit on post op rooms. But you are right, I want to give back and help others, like the sister's helped me. I will begin dividing my time with both pre-op and post-op.
