mystery pain 6 years after hysterectomy, is it endometriosis

It has been 6 years since my total hysterectomy for endometriosis. I do know that at time of surgery it was on my intestines and possibly bladder, but remnants not removed since they were in a dangerous location. Every now and then I get an achy sensation in area of my left kidney. Some days it is mild and goes away with Advil, other times it will not go away with Advil. Often the stronger pain is associated with stormy weather. I've also have noticed that often when I clean out, the pain will often begin or worsen. That sounds like colon to me, and since endo. is on my intestines, thought it might be associated.

All my scans and blood tests have come up normal. Is this endo. pain? I've always have had endo. pain in my pelvis area, but thought it could be radiating from somewhere (don't know where though). My scans included my bladder as well as kidney, and it was clear too.

How can I differentiate endo. pain from other pains in same area (like cancer).

Re: mystery pain 6 years after hysterectomy, is it endometriosis

Hello!
I don't have an answer for you as I was looking for one but it seems we have similar issues going on. I too had a total 5 years ago and also had endo on my bladder. All of the sudden, after years of feeling great, I am having issues. Tender breasts, nausea and an ache near my left hip. It is the same place I had aches before my hysterectomy. It is not painful but it is annoying.

My mind tends to run wild and over the past few weeks I went through a gamit of worries thinking its cancer, maybe a hernia, maybe.....I hate what I do to myself! So I am commenting because I know how you feel and not having answers sucks. Doctor just told me to take Evening Primrose so I will see if that helps.

Anyways, I just wanted to give you some support and I hope you are feeling better!

Definitely could be endo pain. If the surgeon had to leave a lot behind, that can cause problems later on. My endo didnt attack my bladder or bowels but she couldnt get to 1 dime sized spot of endo she had to leave. I am only 3 months post op so I havent had a chance yet to expetience endo coming back but you very likely might have additional endo growth causing pain.
