Blood Loss after LSH

Hi All, just wondering about the experiences with blood loss just after an LSH procedure. Was it the same as having a period, and how long did it last? Just trying to get myself prepared ahead of time....started my period Tuesday (Yippee, my last!!!!!) and am hoping that it will be the last week of my life spent worrying about piling towels under me at night so as to not ruin my matress!!! The thought of that I must say is soooooooooo liberating! Not to mention the many other stressful happenings that life with Aunt Flo Like A Waterfall brings!

I may be the weird one of the bunch, but I had my LSH a week ago and I had no discharge from the surgery. I had been having a little mucous before surgery (from sex, of course) and that little bit continued for a day or so...then nothing. I wore a pad for a couple of days, then a pantyliner for a couple of days as I wanted to be prepared. But nothing! Again, I may be abnormal. I kept my cervix, don't know if that has anything to do with it or not. We are lucky to have this type of surgery-I feel great!

Hi. I just had my lsh on Monday. I have had very little vaginal bleeding. A bit in the hospital right after surgery. I have been wearing a pad just in case at home, but so far a little spotting on tissue, but nothing in the pad. Not sure if this helps.

I had about 10 days of post-op spotting after my LSH. I even had gone out and bought some super-duper pads just in case. Did not need them!!! Just needed regular size pads.

From what I have read about spotting with the LSH on Hyster Sisters, some LSH ladies have no spotting, some start spotting right after surgery or a few days later and some can spot up to 6 weeks post-op.
