Hello to all my fellow Iowan's!!!!!

I just wanted to see if there were any Eastern Iowa girls out there. In or around the QCA (Quad City Area)

Does anyone know of a support group closer than Dubuque?

I'm from the Iowa City area and scheduled for next Friday, August 31st at UIHC. I hope the next 8 days go fast because I am very ready for this to happen.

I'm on the IL side of the QC's, work in Muscatine. I've thought of trying to start some kind of support group here in the QC's but haven't quite figured out how. I was planning on contacting Genesis and Trinity about it since they are the 2 largest hospitals in the area.

Hey sister! We aren't all that far apart! I live in south central Iowa. It would be doable to meet half way or work something else out sometime. That goes for any of the other Iowa girls too. Aren't you all enjoying the nice weather we're having?

I will be in Iowa City in a few weeks maybe we can meet for lunch. I will know more about what day later this week.

I think that is a good idea, I have thought about it as well, but I don't even know where to start.

Let me do a little recon and I'll see if I can find out anything. I was thinking even if we gave a list of some names, numbers, email addresses, or something to some of the OB/GYN groups in the area that they could give patients that get the diagnosis for people to talk to it might be a good start.

A local support group would be great. Even those of us that have been there done that need continued support from time to time.
