Waiting for surgery date

I met with my second opinion doctor yesterday. The tumor on my left ovary hasn't changed. He has decided to do a left salpingo oopherectomy. He plans to leave my right unless they find cancer. Also a total abdominal hysterectomy using a vertical incision. There are 2 gynecologic oncologists on staff at this hospital. They're trying to find a date that works for my surgeon and the oncologists in case they're needed. They told me it typically takes 3-5 weeks to schedule surgery. None of us want to wait that long so they're planning to calll the hospital daily for cancellations.

I'm sure there's someone else out there with the same procedures done. I would love some information... Still hoping it's not cancer. Thanks for reading this.
