Upcoming hysterectomy 5/26: Peppermint Tea?

Can it be minty chocolate herb tea made with peppermint? I found a new box as I was cleaning out the tea cupboard. We drink a lot of tea in my home and have tons of teas but mostly I am a ginger tea fanatic.

Re: Peppermint Tea

Ginger tea or sucking on natural ginger candies helped me with nausea. So if you already are well stocked with that, you should be well armed .

I’m not sure about the chocolate herb peppermint tea, but I know others here will know

Re: Peppermint Tea

Never heard of chocolate tea, sounds very processed to me.

Would stick with a real peppermint tea personally

I drank plain, unprocessed peppermint tea after my surgery, and I commonly recommend it in the post-op forum for nausea, constipation, and gas relief. If you're yearning for something chocolate, I recommend some high-quality dark chocolate; I like the Lindt 90% bar, an excellent source of magnesium, another one of my top recommendations for post-op constipation. Wishing you all the best for a successful surgery and a smooth recovery!

Re: Upcoming hysterectomy 5/26: Peppermint Tea?

Ok.......ordered up the organic peppermint. And yes I am a ginger tea addict. I LOVE ginger and eat it raw. I used to have acid reflux and they kept giving me medications that were horrible. One day I did research and went and bought ginger and threw the meds away. I haven't had problems since. Sometimes I get heartburn and I immediately go cut a piece of ginger. I try to purchase organic and without salt and sweeteners when possible. I even got the Chinese take out restaurant to make me no salt/no msg food. The restaurant industry is killing it's Patrons. After the hysterectomy I will get back to eating modification. I realize, far too late, I have to make some serious dietary changes.

Tiger_Eye, I, too, like the Lindt 100% cacao dark chocolate. It's just hard to limit it to one square a day.
