Got to join Pocono on the games last night. They are addicting as I have done them before, but for some reason I couldn't sleep. Guess I'll sleep tonight.

Tomorrow I start my new hours of 6am to 2:30pm. That will be nice for the summer and for being around for my 16 y/o son. I dread next winter already however.

Since our celebration was yesterday, I have just dh, ds, and myself today. Others may pop in and out but they are on their own. Leftovers in the fridge and paperplates on top. We did have fun though. There were 16 people to cook for and feed. Lots of card/games played and chit chat. My family has doubled in size in 1 years time. My 23y/o son married and now has a wife and three instant children. My 22 y/o daughter has her fiance and his apartment mates and of course my 24 y/o now has a son and a new girlfriend. I'm seeing the need for a larger room to accomodate our holidays. Dh will be thrilled about that project.

I will never forget 911. I have friends who live in NYC and fortunately none of them were affected. My sympathies, thoughts and prayers to all of you who were directly affected. The business I worked for at that time, came to a stand still. All business just stopped and did not start again for two weeks. We watched on the computers as the towers fell and cried. That was a tremendous impact on the world as it is an international company. I can't even begin to fathom how you have dealt with WTC.

Thank you for asking how I am doing. I'm doing great. I was fortunate that my recovery has gone smoothly and quickly. The hormone thing is the last that I am dealing with. The hot flashes have started to reduce since the black cohosh has started to kick in. Decided to give it 6 months for a good trial run. If I still have them then I will complain to doc. My next apt. is then anyway. Sometimes they keep me up at night, like last night.

Good morning everyone. Happy Easter! I finally fell asleep at about 5 am. My kids are so good they waited for me to get up at 9:30 to check out their baskets. They are so cute at almost 12 and 14 (next month) they still pretend the Easter bunny came bec I think it is so cute.

Babcocks - Cannot believe you were up all night so sorry. You must be very over tired.

Pia - Your kids will be happy no matter what they get. I hope you and especially Bella are feeling so much better today.

On the couch - Wow, you had a dream about me. I wish you could remember what it was about. Did I win the lotto LOL)?

Sorry if I left anyone out. Everybody have a great day today and Happy Easter!

Good morning Babs again and everyone else.

Not to talk about sad things but I do know my dh will never forget the things he saw that day. He did not have to look at pictures to see it. I always tell him he is my hero. He had made it about ten blocks away with some of his buddies and then went back down with one of them to get the guy's son out of the school down there. Then he went to his other friend's apt right there to get him out of his bldg. One of the towers colapsed while he was inside the apt and they actually had to go out the back way and then run to keep ahead of the debri. There are so many more things to say but I don't want everyone to be sad. It was the happiest day of my life when I heard his voice. Amazing that after a only a few hours of not knowing (the worse in my life) his cell phone started working and he was able to call me. In turn I started calling everyone's families that were with him to let them know their dh and ds were ok. His was the only cell phone working. The weird part is that a couple of years before that his company was looking at renting space in the WTC on the 100 floor and above. He was one of the comittee members and convinced the other members to vote no to moving there.

I am going to change the subject bec today is suppose to be a day of celebration. I made reservations and we are going to one of our favorite restaurants. The kids are excited and can't wait. They also did not get as much as they usually get but were very happy because I gave them more money hidden in the plastic eggs where I usually put chocolates in them. We usually do a mix change and chocolates. I guess we are all still having some brain fog.

Everyone have a great day today.

Nanette and Babs- what games are you speaking of? I have never been a computer game person at all- but over Christmas my mother and father showed me a game called luxor and let me tell you- I am totally addicted to this game, and I hate it!! haha. I finally won and still, at night, sit with the laptop and play while I watch some TV with dh. My ADD brain at it's finest!!
Also, nanette, I know what you mean about the shirts. Seems everything is a little snug and makes me look preggo. So- I bought a SPANX tanktop to wear under any shirt and it's fantastic!!! It really helps with my tummy and muffin top. Plus, the elastic really stays and it's long enough to tuck into even the lowest of low rise jeans. They come in nude, black and white and are fantastic. I don't know if you have a Nordstroms there or not, but I know they sell them there- and I'm sure any nice department store would sell them as well. They are in the lingerie department and are about $30 or so.
go try one on under your shirt and see. It's also got a built in bra, though my deflated boobs when compressed in the tank make me look like a boy
Happy Easter again- enjoy your day!!

Aww Cindy!! you are so sweet!! Hope you have a fabulous day with your family- lots of things to celebrate!!!
Bella is almost back to her old self, DH found an abundance of stuff at CVS- and both Brayden and Bella were thrilled. I've still got a bit left of this virus, so DH took the kids to his parents house for lunch.
I'm thinking this week will be the first real week of normalcy for all of us in months... and I can't wait!! WAHOOOOOOOOOOO

CBRN!! So happy for you. We're freeeee! Isn't life grand? I, too, have two college kids here; son 18 is playing the guitar w/ dad - dad plays bass. Daughter, 20, and I will dress the pineapple on the ham and pop that in the oven in a few. The sauce and meatballs are also cooking away. Good luck at work tomorrow; people treated me like I was a super star....well, we are, aren't we???? "Set me free why don't ya babe?" Happy Easter wi/ you family ; I agree, it is very nice to chat w/ hystersistas. I had TAH/BSO b/c of atypia - precancer - so it was early detection, and like you, free and clear for the rest of our lives. Hooray - God Bless - and take it easy tomorrow - wear comfy shoes and wear something bright and cheery> It will make everyone see what a bright star you are. all the best, yomiss

yomiss, Yes life is grand! I am so happy for you too! Loved that "Set me free why don't you babe?" I can really relate. I hope we never have to deal with that dreaded disease again. It has changed my perception about things! No longer sweat the small stuff! It's all pretty much small stuff! Enjoy family more! Take time to smell the roses!
Live!Live!Live! Life is fragile! Enjoy Easter with your family and God Bless! I will wear comfy clothes and shoes! Thanks for the advice!
