Re: Recovery Progress Reports for Hysterectomy dates Sep 06-Sep 12,2021

First week back to in-person week went well but I'm fatigued to say the least. These past several weeks, I've been on an extremely low carb diet and at work, they bought us pizza... my weakness! Man oh man, am I feeling bloated, could also explain why I'm extra tired and now, constipation!! SO, I guess I'm changing the way I eat. Which isn't horrible... I did lose like an inch/inch and a half since hysterectomy. I wanna keep that off, so I'll just enjoy pizza on my terms which is very thin crust and not 2 days in a row. Hubby and I still haven't had sex, a week from this upcoming Monday!!! I'm so looking forward to it. My water intake isn't as much but still getting a lot in. My clients missed me so much, I got a few hugs in. I had to move out of my office yesterday (still have a job) and packed everything in my trunk. I'm slightly brown spotting today, so I'll take it easy today.
Hope all of you are doing just as good!! Much love!

Hi all, just wondering how everyone is doing??

Fatigue is still a problem for me since the last time I posted on 10/24. Tried the store yesterday and couldn’t stay long. I get tired so fast. Trying to do yoga and stretching to get some activity in. Meditation has also been so helpful.

Hi all,
I have been back to work and the gym for about three weeks now. I am taking things lighter than I used to, but I am happy to be back at life. Husband and I are having sex regularly again, we took things super slow the first time.

Any advice on hormone replacement? I have been on a patch since day of. We have lowered the dose slowly and doctor is leaving it up to me regarding stopping use. I would love feedback or thoughts.
Hope everyone is well

Hi Girls,
I am doing pretty well, slowly getting back to my life with not many issues. There are days I'm pretty tired at the end of the day, so I can relate with you, Zoe. When I do go shopping I limit the time spent, so I'm still allowing self-grace post surgery. I am also very careful about lifting things just bc i have lost muscle. I know my stamina will continue as time goes on.

My biggest issue: I am still getting post-surgery hotflashes. (Kept my ovaries) They mostly wake me up at night. I'm averaging 3-4 per night, and I wonder what is a normal number? I've been waiting to see if they stop on their own, but how long should wait before seeing my family doc?

It's nice hearing everyone's updates.
