Hi! If you have steri-strips over them they will eventually start to fall off on their own or if not your doctor will take them off probably at your 2-week. Are there other bandages you have on? On my second day that is all i had left over my incisions. Assuming you were laparoscopic.

Your discharge papers should include specific instructions on when to remove the bandages; if not, you can always call your surgeon's office for guidance. My incisions were covered with steri-strips, which I was instructed to remove them; by that time, the largest one, on the left side of my groin, through which everything had been removed, wasn't yet fully healed, so my family doctor advised me to keep it covered with a band-aid for another week, after which it had healed perfectly. Best wishes for well-healed skin, and for continued health and healing!

I have a type of bandage and I think under is a liquid bandage or glue ! I’m calling the doctors office but they don’t answer

Re: Bandages

Bandage care should be included in your discharge papers.

If not, please contact your surgeon’s office for guidance. They all have different protocols and we are all unique.

Re: Bandages

Do you have a patient portal where you can message? That often works better than trying to get a "live" person.

It's really up to your doctor when they come off. If you don't have guidance or can't get ahold of them, let them come off on their own.
