Can my 0B get rid of my lovely kangaroo pouch from 2 c-sections?

I look kind of like a plastic surgery reject. I have a lot of scar tissue from my 2 c-sections and was wondering if it is okay to ask him to remove some of the scar tissue. I have not asked for a plastic surgery consult and think that at this point it is too late as my surgery is next Tuesday. It would be nice not to have the pouch even worse after my TAH. Any advice?

Yikes! At my last c-sect I asked my ob if she could just cut some of that extra skin off, and she said no, because she has to weigh whatever she takes off of me. If the insurance sees a weight too high, they won't cover the whole procedure. But that's just what she told me! If it's scar tissue (not extra skin) maybe that's different... I plan on making the suggestion to my gyn as well! He probably won't do it, but it can't hurt to ask!

It wouldn't hurt to ask. I tell people that if you don't ask the answer will be no. It might be yes, ya never know

Good luck.

Jeanus and Bookah are right...It doesn't hurt to ask...I know that with my third c-section, my surgeon cut out all of the old scar...it had gotten quite wide...he also removed a bit of fat that hung over because he was concerned that my "hang over" was going to be too big for me to be able to keep my incision dry and clean enough....so please do ask, you never know!
Good luck!
