what I want to do after surgery

repair my brand new patio doors that my pups used as a chew toy-if I can sit on a stool and use a dremel I can sand it and restain it. its just the bottom corner-little poopers.

finish the afghan I was making for my granddaughter Sally who is 5 months old..yep mima dropped the ball this time.

order the stuff online for my grandkids christmas. and oh yeah get stuff for my DH...he needs jeans gap.com is my friend

play with my dogs-they are 9 months old and finally get catch the frisbee...(aussies are awesome dogs)

sleep...I really want to sleep past 5:15 am...no work

when I can go upstairs-finish some sewing projects.

play wii...mario cart.not fit...

watch all of my favorite movies...Patriot, Robin Hood, Everafter, Pirates, Diehard...

my daughter said make a list Ma! this is the start of my list.

talk to my daughter who lives 4 hours away probably 4 hrs...every day..then I can listen to my grandson Cayden babble in chinese..

decorate for christmas-very slowly.

good luck to all of us. we need to be free of pain and ruled by our bodies..
I'm still scared but its gotta get better!

Re: what I want to do after surgery

Cut it out!! You're making me totally jealous, especially about the aussies . Seriously though, it was the best 6 weeks I've had in years. I daydream about it all the time now. I had minimal discomfort and thoroughly enjoyed the down time. There were many things I wanted to do and didn't. The time goes by so fast. Enjoy every minute of it. (((HUGS)))

Re: what I want to do after surgery

cathy, thats great. I've read so much lately about pain I am just looking forward to the downtime...want to spend it with my pups...Phin and Lucy-they still jump though...but I am so looking forward to being home...it will pass quickly I'm sure!
I'm sure I will just be watching movies and tossing the ball to the pups..

Re: what I want to do after surgery

Holly - I'm a diehard dog lover and aussies are one of my favorite breeds. I have 2 labs and they were great company during my recovery. The very 1st night I came home, my husband and youngest lab went to bed ahead of me. I went to climb in later and the lab had taken up my entire side. I thought "oh, I'll just scoot her over"..then I felt the pulling on my incision. Not a good idea to try to move a 75 lb dog 3 days after surgery. I really was feeling so good though, that I'd completely forgotten. I honestly smile when I look back at it all and it's not that time has faded the memories of bad stuff. I truly enjoyed the time and felt almost guilty while I channel surfed thru HGTV and the food channel. You've already got a great attitude and list to go with it. You're going to be better than fine and your pups are going to love having you home.
