Insurance denied.. BUT..

So I found out today my insurance denied the surgery *tentative date was for June 22nd* because they did not get a copy of a papsmear. So my doctors office sent them a copy of my most recent one first thing after talking to them. Now my question is, how long will it take them now, to come to a final decision? I've been waiting over a month now as it is. Is it going to take another month for them to decide? Or now that they have the paperwork will it be pretty fast since the tentative date is set for the 22nd? Anyone else go through this? I'm insanely stressed out right now.

Did they deny the surgery or ask for more information? It sounds a little like my situation. My doctor ask for a prior authorization but the review board wants more information before signing off on the surgery.

Well I got an email saying it was denied, but when I called my doctor they said they needed more information because they were missing a copy if my papsmear.

If all they needed was more information I would say it will only take a few days to decide. Sometimes you get one answer and the doctor gets another.

I sure hope it gets sorted very soon.
