Any chance it's scar tissue?

I am about 1 year post-op and have been feeling great until recently. I am now experiencing off-and-on pain on my right side. Nothing severe. Just enough to let me know that something's "going on". I'm wondering -- is it scar tissue or, quite possibly, could it be my appendix? Sometimes it's more front and center, just to the right of my naval. But lately, it's more like a stitch in my side. I know appendicitis is extremely hard to diagnose -- until it's either an emergency situation or it actually bursts -- that I hate to spend the $$ to see my family doctor. On the other hand, I'm scared to death it might actually be something involving the bowel.

Anybody else had any such pain/"twinges"? Could it be scar tissue? Any feedback would be appreciated! Thanks, girls!

Re: Any chance it's scar tissue?

thanks, i'll be letting my dr. know about my pain at my 6wk checkup. i just had high hopes the hys. would take care of the pain, he said he would look at my appendix and ovaries, they looked good he said. so i'm just trying to heal and hope this pain goes away, it just feels so familiar, i'm sure it's what i've been feeling for years. i just think, they just opened me up and looked around, if they couldn't find anything that way, how in the world can the source of the pain be found now? i don't want to seem ungrateful for everything my dr. has helped me with.
