LSH: Upcoming hysterectomy June 6: I'm losing it

*hugs* wow, I thought I was alone in feeling depressed and anxious. Thank you for posting about this because yeah, I feel your pain! I think everyone else has given great advice and I hope things work out for you.

And I came through it ok and am now well into recovery. Lots of meditation and as much anti-anxiety medication as I'm allowed for the whole last week. The IV was actually as bad as predicted; they LEFT IT IN from a Friday D&C to a Tuesday hyst because they seriously thought it was more likely I could keep it in than that they could get another one in. By surgery day I was more fixated on keeping the dang line in at all costs (and then getting it OUT because my vein hurt) than anything else!
