option advice

Hello. We completely understand your frustration and concern (and worry!). I had been walking around with a 5lb/18cm fibroid in my uterus for almost 4 years. I did a lot of research into what my alternatives were in the hopes of not having a TAH. Including the hope that it might shrink during Menopause - instead - it started growing. It took me an entire year (and yet another MRI) to finally decide - it was time. I think with careful eating and exercise the weight gain might not be a problem. I can only speak for myself - -but lots of veggies, fruits, fish, water - walking, the gym - and I feel good. I agree with the other girls that you might feel more in control/better if you do some research and maybe even consult with your Dr. FYI - I had my TAH almost 18months ago and 110%. Hang in there!
