Upcoming hysterectomy: I am not spending the night after Davinci TLH with bladder sling

Does that seem right? I expected that I would stay at least one night.

Not spending the night after the DvH is not unusual. If you have any concerns please share them with your doc.

DVH and sacrocolpopexy here. I wasn't supposed to stay the night, but I was not feeling up to going home so they let me stay. As long as your stay is under 24 hours they can still bill it as outpatient.

I'm having same and dr said at least one overnight. Kind of made it seem like probably 2-3

I stayed two nights. Had my surgery on a Wednesday afternoon and went home early Friday morning. Wasn't feeling super good on the Thursday and had no hesitation in saying I didn't feel quite ready. I have an autoimmune disease and my surgery took longer than anticipated, so there were a couple of legitimate reasons for the extra night. This is just my ever so humble opinion, but I think women are pushed out of hospital too soon after a major op. I know the daVinci is less invasive but there is still a lot happening on the inside. Some women bounce back quickly and are quite happy to go home on the same day. I was not one of those women.
