adenomyosis........ full feeling in the belly ?

This full feeling gets bigger by the day. I feel like I have a grapefruit sized thing in my belly making it hard to bend over and sit up straight.
After I eat, and I can't eat much at a sitting, I am out of breath.

Thank goodness I have just 17 days left til surgery .

Re: adenomyosis........ full feeling in the belly ?

That was me before I had my enormous uterus kicked ot the curb. I ended up in the ER because my stomach was having such a hard time getting food past the boulder in my gut.

I'm eight months out -- and I feel wonderful. I eat and poop like a normal person, have NO PERIOD HOORAY!!!!!, and don't feel uncomfortably bloated from having to pee when I wake up in the morning.

Recuperating from surgery isn't a picnic, but after you get the first couple weeks under your belt, you will feel fantastic. :-) Good luck with your surgery!

Re: adenomyosis........ full feeling in the belly ?

When endometrium implants itself in muscle wall of uterus. W/ period those lil islands bleed and that causes pain, the uterus becomes boggy and enlarges. Mine was painful all but a few days a month. Then you pass clots, have labor like pains and feel very tired and full in abdomen. Adeno is contained in uterus endo is not. But adeno is often referred to as endometrious of the uterus. Hysterectomy cures adeno, but not necessarily endo.
