I am concerned about Debbie & Denise- sounds like complications setting in, girls, please get yourselves looked ASAP

Tonight I pulled my maternity pants on and had a nice dinner out with sweet boyfriend, then we walked to our favorite bistro bar on the water, where they have live music (the kind you can TALK over) and a romantic bar.. and I had one drink and was so tired and belly started to pinch and feel uncomfortable. BF could tell just looking at me that I was cooked.
Thank goodness he didn't get mad, I just couldn't WAIT to get home and in my warm pj's and reclining.

I am cold all the time since this surgery.. but I get a little stronger and a little less crampy every day, so I am hanging in there.

BUT any of my complaints are nothing compared to some of sisters here- get well soon, girls

Well, here it is 10:30 and I'm FINALLY starting to feel better. The think the UTI-like symptoms have gone. I've been drinking tons of water the last few hours but I haven't had to go to the bathroom in a couple of hours. So, I'm hoping when I do go things are free-flowing!

Anyhow....I have my regular weekly appointment with my doc on Monday @ 10:00 so I'll get check out then.

Tomorrow, I'm not doing anything until later in the day when I'll take a shower and straighten my hair. Then I'll rest again. I want to conserve all of my energy for my son's birthday dinner @ 5:00 p.m. If I can just get through that, I'll be home-free 'til my doctor appt. on Monday morning.

Debbie....how about you? What are your plans?

Hi girls
Home from my dinner at a friends. I had a glass of wine...I know I'm on antibiotics but the bottle didn't say you couldn't drink (I'm not saying it is ok to drink while on meds). I feel nice and relaxed. Hopefully I'll sleep through the night. I've wake up several times a night I have for months I sure hope I can sleep all night. I have been having some crazy dreams! I know earlier others have said they did while on pain meds. I'm not on any and my dreams are crazy!

I agree Debbie should go to a Dr and I'm glad that Denise already has an appointment for Mon.

Denise have fun tomorrow at your son's b-day dinner.

Hello Ladies
So glad to hear Denise you are doing better.
I think I am improving. I have been couch bound and I think that has helped. I was about to go to ER whn I decided to call telehealth. Basically it's a service you call and speak with a registered nurse, she does triage. My son had wondered if I had a hernia which kinda made sense and scared the poop out of me.

The nurse I spoke with suggested it was probably a sarnoma(spelling?) like a hematoma but fluid instead of blood. Suggested I put heat on it off and on and go to a clinic tomorrow to see a doc and probably get more suitable pain meds.

I don't think I could have gone to the ER glad I called the nurse. I will go to the clinic tomorrow if I am any worse. I will take lots of meds and try to get a good night sleep.

Thanks guys
I can't wait to feel better. The pain just is wearing me out.

I think I did too much today. I had not needed a pain pill in 4-5 days but I took one tonight. The thing is every time I take a pain pill I have more difficulty sleeping. It is midnight and I am wide awake. I should be sleepy but there is no sleep in sight. I can really tell when I do to much. It hurts to walk and feels like a knife sticking up my vagina. My mom is a RN and she says "you should just be getting along with Tylenol now shouldn't you" Thank you to everyone on this website because I would think I was abnormal with the pain if I did not read your posts.

I haven't posted the last two days. I have been really tired and a little down. I start hurting everytime I just try do something normal. Like walk for more than 10 min. I just posted a new thread. After my Wal-Mart trip today for bread and milk I needed DH to pick me up at the door. Think I hurt myself laughing watching TV! What the heck??

After 4 weeks I want to spend two consecutive days OUT of bed.

I WANT MY LIFE BACK TO NORMAL!!!!!!

PS: I am still on Ibuprofen every 8 hours ...today more like every 5.

Debbie, you can Google 'seroma" and "hematoma" and get lots of info. This is what I know about them: 1 is filled with fuid (seoma) the other with blood (hematoma) and either one is terribly painful. They try to let the body absord the fluid/blood on its on own, so thats why the heating pad I guess.
But you should have some meds so you can gt rest and relief hon...

I am also so glad that we share info about how we feel at this time in our healing- because, according to the outside world we should be ALL BETTER BY NOW!!
ARRRGH!!!

Other people just don't understand the exhaustion, the pain you get for no reason at all, the fact that one day is good, the next is crappy.

Denise, you BETTER stay in bed till the birthday dinner- I think you have been doing too much, driving people around, going here & there, when your tender bottom is screaming at you! BAD GIRL! Don't make me come down there to Virginia (because the trip would just kill me ; )

My plans for the day: quick trip to little timy town market to get something for Sunday dinner. We will have whatever is on sale (turkey, roast pork, chicken, I'm easy...)

I feel like I can cook now & then, and I like to cook big meals so that we have leftovers because boyfriend and teenage son eat an incredbile amount of food.

I have a massage tentatively scheduled for tomorrow morning, but I am afraid to spend the money on myself. Not sure what to do...

Nicole:

Sounds to me we are in the same boat. I did Walmart and Target yesterday and ended up is a mountain of pain and with the added discomfort of not being able to pee. I feel exactly what you are feeling. I wish I could just leave my house for more than an hour or two without feeling like I just had a truck drive through me.

We're in this together girl....and we will make it to the other end!

Hey there, Tuna:

Just woke up and went to the bathroom. I'm not doing anything today until about 1:00. Then I'll get in the shower and then straighten my hair, which takes about an hour or more. Then rest until about 4:30. Then I'll throw on some clothes, lipstick, and out to dinner with the fam. As long as I push my 1 1/2 - 2 hour limit I should be fine!

I didn't wake up in much pain this morning. So.....I'm staying put.

How is everyone else this fine Sunday morning?
