Chomping at the Bits!

I feel like the racehorse insinde the gates just waiting for it to open so I can run the derby.

I am going to the castle 1/3/02 and guess what? I PACKED my bag today. Is this crazy or what? I just can't wait to go. Tomorrow was my original date, but my MD and his wife (who is his assist) are flying to NYC to visit family for the new year.

Last night my DH ( 1000 times over!) asked if I was nervous and reassured me this was the right choice. I have had so much pelvic pain the last 2 days.

My 9 yr.old DD went with my mom to visit her friend who just had a hyst. for cancer and is undergoing chemo. She has lost her hair, but is in HIGH spirits. My DD asked all about it when they got in the car. That just upset her even more. She has asked to go with me to the holding room and pray with the nurses who will be taking care of me. I cried when I heard that. What a sweet little girl I have been blessed with.

Anyway, I am so excited. My new nickname from my family is: Hollow-woman. LOL!

Love and Kisses to all my sisters. Again, I love you all!

You sound perfectly normal to ME :)

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery Shelly! I know exactly how you feel. I had my big day on 12/11/01 and I was just like you. Some might have thought I was headed for a Carribean Cruise or Disney World I was so excited and couldn't wait to pack. The positive attitude will help you all the way through. Keep it going! You have a very loving family and that makes things all the better.

If you follow the packing list on the drop down menu you will lack for nothing in the hospital. I have to say that Gas-X and lip balm were my most important items. Don't leave home without them AND your positive attitude!

Just hang in there and visit the chat rooms here.........that's where I found my sanity at the last moment. All the women here are great and I'm still getting help from this site so be sure to keep it in your favorites.

My thoughts and prayers are with you! Be sure to write when you get to the other side and feel up to it.

Hugs

Ready to go

Nothing wrong with being ready to go! Organization is the key to getting through many things in life, this is no different. Once you make up your mind to do this your positive attitude will see you through. Remember that we are all here any time you need anything. This site made so much difference for me words really fail to express the gratitude I feel!! Your dd is a sweetheart, give her a big hug for me. WE will be thnking about you on your big day and will be with you in spirit. Please make sure that your chapstick has no petroleum in it as it is unsafe around oxygen.
