Big panties or Bikinis?

Thanks to all the sisters who replied to my last query. It was very informative! My next query is around underwear. The surgeon said that he would probably have to do a vertical cut (I don't know the technical term!) as my fibroid womb is about the size of a 24 month pregnancy. Is it better to have large panties that go up to my navel or have little ones that just cover the pubic area?

I have got three weeks to go before the op. Good luck to my other sisters in waiting!

Big panties or Bikinis?

Hmmmm... After I had a lap (pre-hyst), the belly button incision really hurt, and I liked bikinis better. But after my hyst (TAH - horizonal) I liked the big granny panties better. Maybe get some of each and see what feels best? Also, if you're shopping for sweats, get the drawstring kind. If found elastic (even kinda loose) waistbands really annoying.

BIG PANTIES OR BRIEFS

Hi Vanessa,

well, I am a brief person myself but have spoken with specialist about this matter, it seems Big panites are the best bet, so he says...problem with briefs is that the elastic being so low could cut into the wound, and we dont want that...I dont know if you have a peacocks near where you live, thats where I got mine from...rather large but still with nice pictures on....oh, and I got some from BeeWise that say...practising to be a princess...rather appropriate dont you think....what is your date, mine is 4th feb, a week on monday, no one can be more scared than me, I found this site and its the only thing thats keeping me going, Vanesssa, order the book if you havent already done so , its brilliant, my hubby is reading it too...it certainly helps....I am having the full one done, basically if its not nailed down its coming out....

love to you from farnborough in hampshire

Big ol ones

Hi Vanessa,

I just opened up the last of the undies I just received from JC Penney from my online order! I bought granny panties preop and am not really thrilled with them. They were binding around the leg openings. I just got large size french cut so they have the high leg openings but still come up to my waist. Haven't tried them out yet but I'm hoping I got the best of both worlds. I had a horizontal cut - real low. Anything you can feel on your incision will be uncomfortable. Right now I'm in my own hospital gowns www.intelihealth.com and am commando (no undies). The only undies I've had on since the 14th have been to come home from the hospital.
