Is the fibroid causing a blockage?

I'm awaiting a TVH ( conserving the ovaries) still haven't got a date and have known since April that I need the surgery !! The waiting and not knowing is horrible !

In the meantime I became unwell last Friday and have had a kidney infection, HORRIBLE !! I ended up in A&E ( emergency room) on Monday where they gave me stronger antibiotics than the ones my GP had prescribed !! The urine test she took only showed a very small amount of bacteria but that was enough to do the job. A subsequent sample showed nothing!

Anyway I am still experiencing a lot of discomfort with passing urine, it feels like a blockage - the fibroid perhaps? Any thoughts?

They didn't persue this at the hospital, they have some rule whereby you have to be treated and either admitted or sent home in four hours and it took that long from triage to getting another urine sample through !! So I wasn't able to find that out, they only said it was a possibility.

So I am back to my GP tomorrow to talk it through and get another lovely zoladex jab, my fifth, in my stomach, arghhh!! In the meantime I'm losing so much weight, I needed to lose some but 2 kilos (nearly five pounds) in four days !!

I also have CFS and a history of chronic kidney infections so I am a bit apprehensive about it all. Certainly do not want to go through this infection again ! Any thoughts?

Is the fibroid causing a blockage?

Could there be a chance of uterine or bladder prolapse? I had fibroids and I know they were the cause of many problems in "that" area for me, could be them as well. Good luck with your doctor tomorrow and Good Healing
