Blood work done yesterday for hysterectomy on 12/12

I just received a call from the lab and she stated I need to go back Friday or Saturday not sooner to have my bloodwork re done, I asked her why and she said something to the effect "checking for anti bodies" making sure they are ready for my surgery on Monday. I'm confused, can anyone she'd any light why they would have to repeat it? Now I'm worried. Thank u!

I am not quite sure why you would have blood work re-done, although my pre-op blood work was within about 5 days of my surgery. White blood cells are one of the items they tracked for me.

Maybe they just need a more current snapshot of where you are closer to your surgery. I know it is hard not to do, but do not worry too much about it. My guess is that it is SOP.
