post lap myomectomy - hematoma

i had lap myomectomy 4 weeks ago,it was around 1000gm of fibroid that has taken out. Problem is,i developed an 8cm hematoma insife my uterus. Had anybody experience like mine? I can this be reabsorbed by the body? what can i do? my doctor said if it will not subside then they will pucture my abdomen with a needle to drain it. But it might cause me infection. what to do? I am anxious. there is still pain in my lower abdomen.help...

I did not have a myomectomy, but I had a hematoma post-hysterectomy, in the same space as had been occupied by the (now-removed) uterus. Walking, keeping up your fluids & using a heating pad can help increase circulation, which can improve the symptoms.
