My left ovary is larger than the right...

My doctor told me that the other day but never said what might cause this. Any ideas??

you can always call your doctor and ask. My one ovary has a cyst on it.

Did he tell you this from a pelvic exam? I would call him back and ask him what he thinks it is. It seems he would have ordered an ultrasound to find out if you have a cyst which is very common. But I would at least follow up with it.

When they did my ultrasound in Dec. it was discovered that my right ovary was much smaller than my left.... In fact they had trouble finding it.... Never knew this before...

Asked my Dr about it when she mentioned it at my next visit and she said there was nothing to worry about.... and that it isn't all that uncommon....

Even with my surgery last week she mentioned that there was no reason or explaination..... it wasn't diseased, and the other had no tumors or cysts.....

No cysts. I had already had an ultrasound. My doctor sends me to an associate for that and he told me there were no cysts. I have had cysts in the past though.

I just thought it was strange is all.
