Yesterday was a bad day. Im off work this week trying to get ready for the holidays. I had to go back to the Dr for another what I thought was a pap smear because something on my last one was "unreadable" I got there and it wasn't a pap smear that he did but a biopsy. I have had these before but nothing like this........He explained to me that he had found some lesions. He took such a large biopsy he had to use packing, it hurt so bad. I am scheduled for surgery on Jan 12th. He told me that if something comes back we will have to redo the surgery. I have had 2 episodes of pre-cancer cells before and had laser surgery for it. I havn't been sleeping well, so he gave me some ambien.
I was so worried about this surgery before, not sure if i wanted to have it done or not. Now I just want it done with. I am sure my husband would rather it be done with then to keep listening to me, although he has been great. Thanks for listening to me, I know I am babbling

Merry Christmas!!

Jennifer

Hi Jennifer
I don't have much to offer, as my issues were much different than yours. I do want to send you a big and best wishes for an uneventful surgery and recovery.

I know how frustrating it is, just trying to determine what's wrong, and then waiting to have the surgery. Here's to a very happy 2005!

much love

Hey, don't worry about it -- this is about the best place to babble that I know of!

Seriously, I hope everything goes well for you. Those biopsies aren't any fun. Just think -- in one month you'll be on the road to recovery and (as the other sister said) a much better 2005!

We're here whenever you need us.

Babble on...we can take it!

I am so sorry that you are having all this additional stress. Try to take a minute for yourself....I recommend sitting in the dark with a brightly lit Christmas tree and a glass of wine (or soda in a really fancy glass). Find something happy to do.

Jennifer,

There is nothing wrong with "babbling". I am also a culprit and I seriously think my husband would like to duct tape my mouth shut, but this impending surgery (1/10/05) fills my every waking and sleeping thoughts! I have a million questions, etc. I did find a book "The Worried Womans Guide to a Happy Hysterectomy" and it has helped alot. Hang in there, we are going to feel better when it is all over and have nothing but memories of what we have gone through. Every time I mention to my co-workers that "Oh, by the way I just wanted to let you know that when I come back from medical leave, I will be in the period free zone!" they clap and say "You go, girl!" Take care and I will be thinking of you on Jan. 12th.
