Will cervix straighten back up?

I am scheduled for surgery on 10/7/13. Currently I am scheduled to remove my uterus and fallopian tubes. I have been given the option to have my cervix removed and have done alot of research on making the best decision. One question I can't find the answer to is this: Dr. S says my cervix is tilted 90 degrees. Will it change after the uterus is removed? Will it straighten back up? One of the reasons for having the hysterectomy is that a couple of "positions" are now painful. I thought the tilted cervix was the reason. I want my awesome sex life back, but don't want to remove my cervix if I don't need to. (the other reason is ver heavy bleeding...which I am THRILLED to be loosing!)

I'd suggest asking Dr. S about the chances of your cervix straightening back up. I would *guess* that the answer may have to do with how long it's been in that position and how long the muscles supporting it have grown in around it.
