Peppermint Oil?

I just got back from the store with a bottle of peppermint oil for the hospital. Being senile as I think I am since finding out I have to have this surgery, I'm not sure if that is what I read to take to the hospital to pee in case you can't after having the cathater in. :confuse: I tried looking through the old messages to see if I could find the one they wrote about and I can't find it. Is it peppermint oil or something else? Please advise.

Peppermint Oil?

Hi, Jackie,

Here's a link to one of the threads which mentioned peppermint oil. I haven't tried this myself, but please notice that the member put the peppermint oil in the toilet, not on or into her body.

I hope this helps.

Best wishes,

Peppermint Oil?

Hi Jackie, just a hint re the bladder. Good old cranberry juice is sooooooooo good to keep the bladder healthy and kill of any bacteria that may contribute to bladder infections. Also lots of water to help flush out the kidneys and toxins from anaesthetic best of luck with your surgery. xxx

Peppermint Oil?

One thing I just thought of........
They put this little container thing in toliet to collect urine and to see how much you are urinating. Well the first time I used it, they did a urine test (standard proceedure) to make sure things were working okay.
You might want to ask the first time it you can do it then...... dont want to mess up urine test, if they were goiing to do one.
And then again you might not have any problem going to have to use it.
I did find it hard to go ..... sure wish I knew of this .
take care
