One week to go

one week to go to have a hysterectomy and having second thoughts. This may be nerves but after three months of hormone therapy to shrink a very large fibroid my symptoms of heavy bleeding and pain has past and I am feeling but relatively well. My consultant informs me that all my symptoms will return in a few weeks. Does anyone else feel like this?

I have adenomyosis and will be requesting a hysterectomy in a few weeks. I have pain and bleeding for about 25 days every month. But then I get 5 days off in a row. So everyday for 25 days I can't wait to have it done and then for 5 days in a row I think I don't really need it. Then the 5 days end and I remember why I wanted it in the first place.

What hormones are you taking? Are they something you could take as long as you need them. If so, then maybe it would make sense to continue to do so and not rush into surgery. Just a thought.
