I'm home already!!!!!

Hi all, I'm home from having my tvh 24 hours ago! Everything went really good! I feel like a new woman. I had no catheter, or vag packing. I didn't even wear those stocking things! I did have cramps, and backache. No major medication needed at all for that though. Not even the "pump". Hope this helps you ladies in waiting. I feel SOOOOO good I cant' believe it. I'm not even weak from the anesthetic.I ate meals right away too! Now, I am going to rest though, they said to take it easy for at least 4 weeks. I just wanted to thank you all for your prayers and well wishes and to let you know the great experience I had.

Wow that was fast! I'm headed to the castle in a couple of hours. My doctor said I would be in until Friday or Saturday. But I am having a TAH w/BSO and a bladder repair. Wish me luck!

Glad yours went so well! My TVH turned into a TAH w/ bladder sling, rectocele and cystocele...Getting home into my own bed was the best part! I'll be seeing you in the post op site soon...I will miss my pre op ladies! s Patty

You sound like me - ravenous when I got home and could never seem to get enough to eat for over a week!

Now you just need to follow the rules and you have my wishes for a smooth recovery.

Thanks ladies. Yes, as good as I feel I will follow the rules, even though I feel "useless" sitting around. I think I can take it though! hehe! See yous on the "other" side.
