Movies / series / books for post-op

Can we share titles of movies, series or books? Thinking if we shared what might be good to watch or read post op to pass the time, it would be helpful! Wanted to make sure that was ok first.

Re: Movies/series/books

I've been re-watching Season Six of The Walking Dead. I started it in the hospital, after surgery, (I spent one night in the hospital), and have continued with it since coming home.
Season Seven starts on the 23rd and so I thought re-watching Season Six would be perfect. This way, I'm all caught up and READY!

If you are a Walking Dead girl, Netflix FINALLY has Season Six available!!

Re: Movies/series/books

Since you'll have lots of time on your hands, consider applying some of it on a fairly dense book that you've been interested in reading but have never really had time to get into.

I spent a good part of my recovery curled up with Annals of the Former World, a collection of geological essays by John McPhee. I'd read it previously a decade or so before but wanted to revisit. Not only did I find it interesting, but thinking in geologic time (hundreds and thousands of millions of years) helped put things in perspective for me. A four-week wait to get my post-op pathology? Pfft!

Re: Movies/series/books

I had a whole list of TV shows that I was going to watch, but in the end, only ended up watching 2 of them (just pooped in general, didn't feel up to having to concentrate).

But the two I watched were Stranger Things (on Netflix, it's an 80's horror/mystery/etc, not too spooky but definitely creepy) and Wolf Hall (PBS, I found it on Amazon Prime but it might be elsewhere; it's from the PoV of Thomas Cromwell during the whole Henry VIII situation). Wolf Hall is also a book, if you prefer books! Both were great.

Re: Movies / series / books

I just finished up all of The Walking Dead! I don't have AMC, so can't watch the new season coming up just yet.

Any good book recommendations that don't make me think to hard? Anything with humor, drama, mystery, etc. But not like Stephen King stuff.

I haven't started Stranger Things yet....purposely waiting till after my surgery. But looking forward to it!

Also thinking I might start Lost.
