new and 3 weeks to go

Hello, Ladies!
I am new here and having a TAH on Jan 30. I don't know whether I will be keeping my ovaries or not. Dr. will see how badly damaged they are when she gets in there. I'm not terribly worried about the surgery, I know it is my only option left to deal with this bleeding (last prd was 10 months long). I'm at peace with whatever happens. I have PCOS and am very overweight(375lbs) I am only 35. My question is, is there anyone here who has gone through this surgery and very overweight? I am concerned about my mobility and the risk of blood clots. I'll have a vertical incision and due to the size of my tummy, I think it's going to be pretty big. Any advice would be helpful. Thanx alot
Amanda

My sister was that size when she had her hysterectomy, and she got through hers okay. They use inflatable wraps on your legs to help prevent blood clots these days. You will do fine.
