My pessary fell out after 3 hours.

I had my pre-op apt today and one of the things we did was push my prolapsed uterus out of the way and put in a pessary. The reason was to see if once the uterus and bladder were propped up if I would leak urine. If so I will get a bladder sling also. Well, three hours in and the darn thing pretty much fell out. I did leak a little urine one time during that three hours. It is my call on whether to get the sling or not based on the results of this experiment, but now I don't know what to do.

Re: My pessary fell out after 3 hours.

If you still want the pessary, I would ask the doctor to show you how to put it in yourself. It's not hard and I had them during my pregnancies. They do tend to fall out especially when having a bm.

Good luck!
