I just cant stop crying. My surgery was canelled yesterday and i have just rang the hospital to be told they cant do it now till at least feb next year. I was at the hospital all day yesterday and ready to go down now i am an emotional wreck. My doc goes on leave at the end of the month then they close for chrissy and the rest of the time she has cat 1 ops to do so muggins has to wait and suffer all over again. The system is just not fair.

Oh Cricky! I am so sorry to hear that I wish there was something us sisters could do for you to make you feel better. I go myself go in - in like 5 more days I could not image how I would feel if they told me the same thing so I can only guess how horrible you must feel right now! Here is a I know its not much and I wish I had some great words for you, best I can come up with is at least you won't have to go throught the holidays trying to recover. Not much I know! Try to keep your chin up.

Oh my poor Aussie sister, that's really rotten luck. Any chance of getting in to see anyone else before Chrissy? I am 8 days post-op and doing ok but would have been really screwed if it had been cancelled, after organising the kids to stay with my folks , getting time off work etc. If you don't mind me asking, why did they cancel your surgery?? Let us know how you go.

Hi Crickeycroc,
So sorry your surgery has been cancelled. I know when they had to delay mine for 4 months as the doctor felt I was too sick and we needed to get onto of a few things I know how hard that was. Perhaps they may have a cancellation and you may be able to ask if they have such a list that you could be added to.
Take care......Karen
*Hi Aussie -angel glad to see your home and doing well.

Cant stop crying
Hello,
I had the same happen. My doctor injured himself and they canceled my surgery. It turned out to be a blessing. After having another ultrasound, another doctor found a golfball size cyst on my ovary. My original surgery was to be laprascopy. Now I will have a SAH and there will be no surprises. I too, cried for days after my cancellation ,but now I feel that everything will work out beter for me. Good Luck, Deedee

still bawling
Hi Aussie Angel. They cancelled me after being in there all day because they had an emergency c section come up. I have rang the hospital and they say all her other openings till feb are cat 1 im cat 2. Plus she goes on leave at the end of the month. I just think if that happens you should be first down to theatre next day. I had made lots of arrangements, 8 weeks of work,i have rang work and now i have to get slotted into the rosta when someone is off sick.
To realy set me off i have started to bleed today. I nearly threw out all my pads and things its a good job i didnt.

Cant stop crying
I am so sorry! My surgery was cancelled because my doctor had her baby and I had to reschedule time off at work and sitters ... and my emotions bounced all over the place! But I made some calls on my own, and yesterday I got in to see another surgeon - and it is the best thing that could have happened to me. He was wonderful. My pre-ops were done right then and I am now not having to fight to keep my ovaries and cervix. I hope something very good comes out of your disappointment. May I recommend not just accepting it cancelled without pushing for some options?
