Bleeding on zoladex - very frustrated! Anyone else? Advice?

So after having my surgery cancelled due to a HB of 6.5 my surgeon has started me on zoladex implants. I had the first one 10 days ago and yesterday started bleeding again. I rang her secretary to discuss my options with her but unfortunately she is on two weeks leave. So today visited my gp who tells me I'm severely anaemic!!!! He has upped my iron tablets and wants to redo my bloods on Tuesday. He also ordered some blood as he is certain I will be needing a couple of blood transfusions over the next few weeks. Getting fed up of feeling so **** worn out plus the side effects from the zoladex are kicking in! Hey ** sisters, don't you love being a woman!!!! X

Hi Lalkings -

I am so sorry you are going through all of this.

I wish I could offer advice, but I have experience with this. We do have lots of ladies on this site, so hopefully one with some knowledge will see this post and respond.

I'm on my first month of Lupron, which like Zoladex, is a gnRh agent. I had light spotting for about a week on Lupron, mostly while I wiped (sorry if TMI). I did a Google search for Zoladex and bleeding. According to some hits on Google, vaginal bleeding is not uncommon on Zoladex, particularly in the first month. Hopefully you can get in touch with your . If the bleeding becomes super-heavy, I wouldn't hesitate to head to the ER, especially since your blood counts are already pretty low.
