Menopause and fibroid concerns (updated)

I don't have a date yet still waiting dr told me sometime next month my issue is can i still have a hysterectomy if i already statred menopause can you help me hystersisters

Yes, you can have a hysterectomy after menopause. I know a woman who had a hysterectomy at age 70 or so - well into menopause.

Hello sisters i havent posted in a few months i was suppose to have a hysterectomy last year but i started menopause so my doctor decieded to play the waiting game to see if they shrink ; well last month i started getting sharp pains in the lower abdominal area that would knock me off my feet took an ultrasound and my fibroids are back and bigger with an enlarged uterus with multilpe ovarian cyst i see my gyn next week a little eorrued sense in postmenupausal now

My fibroids were still growing at 57,that's why I had my tah/bso.I'm now taking low dose estrogen.

Mine were supposed to shrink but didn't. I call it Fred since I've had it so long. Last US showed Fred moved Ethel in. Now I got 2. They will be evicted Tuesday. No symptoms. Having surgery for bad prolapse and also eviction of ovaries. Family history.
