Area below abdominal stitches is tender - 18 days post hysterectomy

Hi. I'm 18 days post TAH. Wondering if it's common that the area below your abdominal stitches is tender (so like below stitches and right above your pubic hair line if that makes sense.) Thankyou

To me that sounds normal. I had a tender area between two incisions which was sensitive, bruised and numb skin at the same time. With my most recent non-gyn surgery which was a lower vertical abdominal incision I had tenderness mainly to the left of it. Just this morning a small area of the incision was itching. When nerves are involved, you can have tenderness, sensitivity, numbness - any and all. It's not necessarily on the incision, either.
