Yes I did have adhesions extensive ones. I did not know really of this until my surgeon told me Thursday and I seen the surgeons report.

I had adhesions and small bowel adhesions to right pelvic sidewall. One of my tubes were completely blocked with an egg in it (weird), but I guess endo can cause a lot of this.

I am still trying to put together my surgeon report, so much was going on. I just hope everything turns out o.k.

Oh, I forgot the swelly belly. Well, I thought it was good for at least a few days but now with this infection I am pretty puffy. It is in that lower area, it all needs to settle down and heal.

Yeah, I have swelly belly most of the time. I have lost 8lbs and don't want to lose anymore, just 3 inches. That's the hard part. I can get in my size 10s, but worked only PT this week, 3 days and still haven't started wearing zip up's. I am still wearing capri sets (elastic). I was worried and so was my dr. about adhesions on my bowel, that is y he wanted the bowel prep before surgery. He said that he could nick my bowel if it was adhesive and could repair it. If I had food on my bowel and he nicked it, I would need a temporary colostomy bag. He said that he didn't find anything on the bowel and I pray he is honest about that. Some GYN surgeons don't like to mess with the bowels. He should be experienced. He is the only dr. in town that knows how to do the LSH. It is funny how quickly my tummy has been getting upset lately though. I will give it another few days and if my tummy is still weird, ima call him and talk to him again.

Earlier this week, I was having a little cramping right in the center under my breast. It would come/go. I have pins/needles, cramping, dull aches, all the time. They pass quickly so I just figure I did too much and sit down. I am sure you are fine. Of course, if it is steady and presist, worry your dr. like we all gonna end up doing.

Where in the world is everybody? My son left first thing this morning for college with his friend, I did some errands, came home cleaned a little, braided my hair and now resting. It is hot as H*ll out there; 100 degrees today. I am going up to my son's school tomorrow to take the rest of his things and have dinner with him.

Hello ladies, I can't believe after 3 days of it being in the 60's now today it is 98 degrees here. The storms are really rolling in. Just wonder if we are gonna lose electric. I feeling really good lately hyster. wise. Today the allergies really kicked in good and i'm on zertec d and nasonex. But today i had to take tylenol sinus and i will take something for bed too. Also i have a really gross cough because of the sinus drainage TMI. DS invited us over his house for a cookout tonight but don't think we are going to make it. Not with the storms anyways. And way to hot still to be outside. His town is having a corvette show and also doing a parade of corvettes it might even be going on now. I've been drinking so much water lately i think i'm gonna float away. Well i'll talk more later.

Could it possibly be gas that refuses to move?I didn't hurt anywhere but my incision site and right upper thigh. Found out the numbness, almost painful to touch and just plain weird feeling in my upper thigh was due to my Right overy was stuck to the back abdominal wall and the doc had a difficult time removing it. He must have damaged a few nerves affecting the upper right thigh. I am also numb for about 3 inches above my abs incision. Doc says its nerve damage and I may never get the feeling back. Sometimes its called referred pain, you hurt one place but the actual source of pain may be somewhere else. I would talk to the doc at the next appointment unless it really gets to bothering you. Remember no question is stupid, only unasked questions. As a nurse I have heard just about everything there is, nothing surprises me and I just go with the flow.
Crossroads, I was lucky I kidnapped the hubby and made him stay with me the entire time I was in the hospital, especially since we live and hour away. I even made him run to Michaels to buy knitting needles and yarn since I was bored. He did my bidding but fussed cause I didn't pick them up until I was on the road home.
Infection symptoms can be different for everyone but Any discharge from the vagina should be reported, unless there is light and I repeat light spotting which is normal. Any other color and a fould odor with increased temp should be reported immediatly to you health care provider. Any pain after the first week should be reported as you should have minimal pain ( unless you are ducking falling closets)the pain should be subsideing , but different folks respond to pain differently. I called my doc the second week after the sitting up fiasco followed by the falling closet and asked for a refill on my Percocet. They gave me a hard time, but they filled it. I only needed a couple of doses to feel better again.
A bowel nick can be serious business so stay on top of that one.
Best Wishes,

Sounds like we are exactly the same size (10). I lost 6lbs. I have been good about walking and eating right....or not eating at all with this pain in my side. Sometimes people lose weight but it's not good weight it ends up being muscle. As we are not being as active. That kinda bums me out, but I feel I'll get the muscle back due to my job. Always on my feet and very active.

My doctor never talked about the bowel. I never knew that anything was going on with that. But I did do the bowel prep. I guess I won't know anymore until I meet with the G.I. Specialist.

pain is better today....

I rested all afternoon and evening yesterday and kept an icepack on my side and my back. I did sleep all night and this morning DH gave me a massage. I've felt better today. I am beginning to think that maybe my recurring pain could be do to overdoing it this week at work. I am on my feet all day with barely a break (I teach kindergarten). The pain on my left side has been pretty intense the last two days. Thank God today I've been better just from resting. I think I am going to start a journal to document everything since the surgery.....
