I think that it would be more supportive if we all put down our surgeries in the signature box in the control panel. It would help not only ourselves, but new sisters that are joining and deciding on their choices. Thanks.

That's sad about the flooding. We had a freak accident up here, too. Two men drowned last Thursday when they were working in the ST. Paul sewer system. We are in a SEVERE drought and .44 in. of rain fell in a half hour. There was a warning, etc. but they were 150 ft. under the ground and 6 workers got out but 2 didn't make it. They were washed along miles of sewer into the Mississippi. Very, very sad. It didn't rain but a drop in my suburb that day. Mother Nature is awe-inspiring and has her own way with us.

Take care. Hope you get a chance to walk!

Not much rain in VA either. But Sunday and Monday we got some much needed rain.

Gemini3,
thanks for the tip on the suppositories. I wll get some. I went to CVS this morning and took back that expensive colace because I was going and going yesterday (no diarhea, TMI) and instead got some gas-x. That is some good stuff. I have been using it off/on since surgery. I have a bad tummy anyway. I was using gas-x a few months ago, but my belly was so hard from all my problems. I have a little rectal pressure and maybe those cones will help. I am hoping that I don't have hemmroids. That would be a trade illness.
Gemini3,
u say all but fibroids.....What was it? endo, adhesion, ???

Crossroads,

I have much smaller incisions than u 3 sites. 1/2 inch on each side and 1 in belly. But I use the gel ice packs on it. They have really stopped mine from itching. My dr. used surgical glue though.

I'll try that. I'm about 30 lbs overweight, so my belly hangs over and it sweats. Been real hard to keep the incision dry. With my gall bladder surgery, I could scratch around the sites and get relief. I can't do that with this cause the belly is in the way.

Hey,

Had my surgery the same day as you and It was nice to here that you don't walk far. I thought I was going to have problems but I don't just sleeping. I get very little sleep. So I will think of you as I walk and hope one day I can here that we walked more than 15 mins.

I wish everyone continued good health. And special prayers for all that go back to work soon, as I know I am worried about that myself.

I haven't been walking all that much. Just around the house. Should I be out walking?

Depends on the Dr I think, but I believe most want you to at least walk some (though, maybe not as much as Elefante64) to help your bowels move.

For me personally, I felt better when I started to walk some. I started about the 2 week mark. It was so hot outside I am fortunate enough to have a treadmill so I could control the ups, downs and speed. I have been going now for 6 days in a row and I am starting to feel much better. I do think it helps to walk. :I was so proud today that I did 2 miles in 40 minutes.
