Made it through LAVH

I wanted to post a note about my LAVH/BSO. I can not believe how good I feel! I thought that I would be very sore and worn out, however, while I don't feel like cleaning the entire house I actually wanted to do the dishes last night(just a few).

My surgery was Wed the 20th. I went into surgery about 7:00am and was moved to my room about 11am. Got up to use the bathroom about 5 times until I was realeased to go home about 6pm that night. I had a demerol pump at 2mg per push and it controlled the pain well. Went home with percocet for pain, which is working well also. I am itching all over from the percocet, ***neat trick about the itching***- I have the Bath and Body tingling foot cream. It makes the itching go away and feels good too.

I went to the Dr's office yesturday and got my first hormone shot. After we left the Dr.'s office, DH and I went to Target to get a script filled. (they tell us to walk)

I know that I have a ways to go with healing, but I am actually having to make myself not do too much since I feel pretty good. I plan on switching to Aleve only today, we'll see how that goes. Best of luck to you all.

It is great to hear that you are feeling so good.
If the itching continues from the percoset even after you have stopped, call your Dr. and see if you can take some Benedryl for it.
