TAH: Upcoming hysterectomy & BSO on 7/10- surgical menopause after going through natural menopause - what was it like?

I finally got my TAH scheduled in July, but I am also going through some serious Menopause symptoms. I have been on bio identical hormones for 2 1/2 months. I have seen some improvement but still having dizziness and ringing in ears and fatigue.The doc that put me on the bioidenticals told me in March that my saliva hormone tests indicate I am in menopause. He raised ;;my dosages, but in the meanwhile, my fibroids have grown, and now I need the TAH. I have a new doc/surgeon performing the procedure who is preferring I switch my hormone replacement therapy after my ovaries uterus are taken out in July. Can anyone share how much better worse the menopause symptoms were after your surgery if you were already in menopause prior to your procedure and what hormone replacement therapy helped.

I cannot answer your question, as I was rudely thrown into surgical menopause at age 46. But, we have lots of ladies on this site, so hopefully one with experience will see this post and respond.
