swelly belly ??

For a TVH will I still get the swelly belly and need giant undies or is that just for when there's an abdominal incision? I'm getting all my goodies together for surgery on Tuesday. Trying to decide if I should buy an expensive but very cute bag to pack my stuff in. It reminds me of the "treats" my grandmother used to get me if I was sick or hurt - just to make me feel better. That cute bag just might do the trick. Anyone else with surgery coming soon getting the "nesting" instinct?

swelly belly ??

Hi

I can't speak for all TVH ladies, but I, personally, didn't need larger undies. I did have some swelly belly for a few weeks, but mainly late in the day as I began getting more active. I was able to wear my normal pants but they would feel a little tighter at the end of the day.

I also treated myself with a few new goodies to take to the castle. A new bag, slippers and robe. It made me feel special!

Best wishes!

swelly belly ??

I am 9 days post op from TVH. I have not had to up my undie size at all. I did buy the scrubs, that nurses wear, from Walmart. They are the moct comfortable things I have ever wore. You can get them with drawstrings or elastic. I opted for the draw strings. I can't recommend them enough. I also treated myself to new slippers. Recommend ones that are very easy to slip on without bending over. I also took Carmex. Highly recommended for dry lips after surgery. I did pack a number of different things for the castle but didn't really use anything else except the bag of candy that I had sitting out for the nurses and visitors.

I will be praying for you,
Ronda
