Question About Post Op TLH/BSO

I am having a Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy/BSO. I've read a lot about limited mobility after abdominal Hysts, (and experienced some of it with my c-section) but I'm wondering what to expect with the TLH. Some on the post-op boards recommend grabbers so you don't have to bend down to pick up dropped items, etc.

Or belly pillows -- will I even have to deal with the whole "swelly belly" thing? ...I am also having existing endo and adhesions removed during surgery.....expecting a 4-6 hour surgery.......not sure if that "matters" or not?

Don't know about the limited mobility thing after a TAH/BSO - I was out of the hospital in 2-1/2 days (at age 46). Have had lapar. procedures done before - not sure which was easier. I think walking as much as comfortable helped more than anything. You'll probably still have to deal with swelly belly - but it shouldn't be too bad. Best thing I did was put a straight back chair (the back of it) up next to my side of the bed - to give me something to grab when I sat up (think hospital bed rails). Good luck to you - you'll do fine - you sound like a trooper!
