Nessajo77's Vaginal Hysterectomy Story

Vaginal Hysterectomy
Age at Surgery 39
Location: Altus Oklahoma United States

Family history of uterine and cervival cancer plus was having hot flashes and extremely amounts of pain my doctor after consulting her colleagues decided it was best choice for me. They also through ultrasound found scar tissue from my tubes to my bowls, now where just trying to hopefully find me the right hormone therapy to help with my moods and unable to sleep and I gained a significant weight. And my periods were brutal I would cry they hurt so bad.

My experience was pleasant I was put under. For my procedure I don’t handle pain to well. I remained in the hospital almost 3 days I was in a lot of pain the first couple days.

My recovery was pretty good, although I had to learn to rely on my husband and family and friends to help and rest, as this is not easy for me I’m a doer. It was 10 weeks before I was fully released back to complete full activities.

I’m so glad I had it done I feel much better no more pain, just didn’t miss the hot flashes lol.

If you have family history that’s especially high like mine, and a lot of pain don’t wait see a doctor get your options and if nothing else helps get the hysterectomy.
